“Beautifully restored, great continental breakfast !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011

We would definitely go back! Three of us were traveling together and we had a corner suite (2 rooms) for a very reasonable price. The rooms were furnished beautifully, the continental breakfast was wonderful - much more than just coffee and rolls! The staff was wonderful too. We arrived earlier than planned and every effort was made to quickly get our room ready for our early check-in. The location is right on main street so we could walk, rather than drive, everywhere we wanted to go.

Room Tip: Maybe request a room not facing the main street. We had motorcycle noise during the night. I doubt...

This is an old hotel, very old, historic in fact. That is its charm. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with fruit, quiche and fresh-baked breads. I don't think you'll find anything with more charm in Kalispell, Montana. Great stopover on the way to Glacier National Park -- hope to be there again one of these days. Oh, there's a nice restaurant directly behind the hotel, North Bay Grill, with an outdoor area.

This historic hotel has been nicely updated but the feel of a gracious old-time western hotel remains. There is a great little gallery run by a group of local artists, photographers, and craftspeople that showcases their creations. There was a nice complimentary breakfast. Some nose from traffic on Main Street but it didn’t last all night or interfere with sleep. Several restaurants within walking distance and a very pleasant ambience.

My daughter and I spent a very pleasurable night here. Front desk staff friendly and helpful with directions and dining suggestions. Our room and bath was clean and comfortable, and had the wonderful feel of a vintage hotel. Continental breakfast was great. If I'm fortunate enough to be in Kalispel again, I'll certainly stay here.

WOW!! Our family was traveling through the area and looking for a hotel. We read some reviews of local hotels and came across the Grand. We've never stayed in a historic hotel before. We always chose what would be best for the kids. Well, we all decided to give it a go. It was a hit! There's a door from the lobby that goes into the Italian restaurant next door, which was "cool". Night fell and we were on the watch for "ghosts"....which never showed.

For the kids, it's no longer about the pool but more about the experience.

It's a wonderful hotel with a great staff and a real nice breakfast. The bar and Italian resturant is one of the best in town always busy, and good prices

Room Tip: get a delux King
