“The most comfortable and relaxing rv park .”

spacious: good service : clean : friendly : easy access to glacier national park : great rates : well maintained: lots of shade : we came here in a motorhome. We did not use the motel although it is nice looking . nice indoor pool with sanua. typical continental breakfast free to rv'ers. free wifi . multiple stores close by . we would definitely stay here again. all in all everything meets our criteria for being an excellent rv park.

We were planning to camp in Glacier but at the last minute decided to look for motel or cabin accommodations. After looking at places with no vacancies or very high prices ($250+) I saw the reviews for this little place and decided to go for it with our family of five (we got a 2-room 3-bed suite). We stayed three nights.

What we liked:
- Obvious pride in the facility - rooms may not be fancy or large, but they are well maintained, as is the grounds and pool; thorough daily cleaning of the room.
- Big indoor heated pool, clean, 9 feet deep at one end - the kids LOVED this, as well as the little old-school playground.
- Free coffee, juice, bananas, and delicious, quality fresh local donuts (as in maple bars, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, bismarcks, etc - good stuff) every morning.
- Great location not far from Glacier.
- Really inexpensive compared to most other lodging options.

Do be aware:
- Rooms are smallish without a lot of surfaces for placing items, or comfortable chairs for hanging out.
- "Satellite TV" = tiny monitors mounted high on the walls with a handful of channels that actually work.
- Beds are smooshy soft but supportive.
- No fridge in our room (though some rooms have kitchenettes). Great ice machine on the property, though.
- Our room had a strange, strong cleaner smell when we first arrived but that dissipated and didn't return while we were there.
- Avoid the ice cream/gift shop place that is next door. Ice cream and cones were stale and the worker there was just weird.

In all, a great value!

We liked Hungry Horse and the Crooked Tree. We rented what is named a cabin, but actually is a large room with a kitchen and a dinner table. Since we travelled with a wheelchair we were always worried about accessibility, but it proved to be OK. One major obstacle everywhere are the very thick carpets Americans are so fond of, but that's a general issue and nothing special for this place.
Management was very helpful when we needed a shower aid, thank you!

The pool was very nice, we had a fun hour there.

Of course I would have preferred to stay in Glacier proper, but this was a last minute trip. We were lucky to find Crooked Tree Motel where we stayed in a one-bedroom room. It looks like the rooms have been recently updated; very VERY clean room and new mattress. Beware the lamp over the bed! I think because the new mattress is taller than the previous bed, what used to be perfect for reading is now somewhat in the way if you sit up in bed. Given that is my only complaint, let's go on with the things I did like: again, clean. Close to Glacier National Park. Free "breakfast" of still warm donuts. Grab a banana for the road. Friendly hosts, willing to get up for a late check-in. Restaurants nearby and on the road to the park. Finally, such a deal. $85 a night including taxes. If the park lodging is full, try this place.

We loved this little friendly motel. We stayed in two cottage rooms for a total of 3 nights. The rooms fit our needs perfectly. They were clean, quiet, and large. The pool was interesting. It was one of those pools built before the safety police required pools to be less than 5 feet deep. Our family loved the pool. The laundry facilities were inexpensive and always available. We will stay here next time we find ourselves Hungry Horse, MT.

We were a little apprehensive when first seeing this little hotel, but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were small, but the beds were comforable and it was clean. I do however wish they would update their shag carpet! It is only a 10 minute drive from Glacier Park Entrance, which is a hugge plus and the room was less than $100 per night.

Time time to drive up to see the Hungry Horse Dam, very pretty!
