This place seems to have a theme but I cannot seem to put my heavily stained finger on it. hmmmm.
Just kidding, this is the huckleberry place. If you are not familiar with huckleberries the best description is if you took a blueberry and made it better. Huckleberries have a unique ecology that resists comercial cultivation so they are hand picked durring the season from scattered, often secret, patches while fighting off the bears (this is not a joke). for this reason a lot of people have never had a hucklebrry and they are missing out. they are good in everything! in pancakes, as a pie, jam, jelly, BBQ sauce, etc etc.
the huckleberry patch has all this stuff and more. They also have a small resurant that was closed for food service when I was there, due to tourist season starting the following week. When I started to weep openly in the middle of the floor they agreed to sell me a slice of pie. It was an epic peice of pie. over an inch tall they heated it up for me and gve me a fork and plate and jumped out of the danger zone. I inhaled that peice and licked the plate clean. It was not elegant but I was in full on bear mode!
So stop in, try the pie, buy some stuff, they also will ship and ship securely. It makes a great snack stop on the way too and from Glacier Park so you can't go wrong!
