“Love this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

My husband and I have stayed here twice now. Such a great hotel, affordable, tidy and has as great breakfast in the mornings with waffles, eggs bacon/sausages. This hotel is close to Target and the mall and its so easy to get to Walmart and Shopko. We will be staying at the hotel again!

We drove down from Canada for wkend shopping so our requirements were fairly low. When you first enter the room it is very well made up, clean, nice bedding etc & appeared to be more suited to a business traveler. Beds were VERY comfortable. The room was quite large (sink/mirror separate from toilet /tub/shower) We had a fridge & microwave although not every room has that. Once you look a bit closer you can see it is an older hotel but it feels like more of a 3.5*. The front desk staff were excellent - very accommodating.
There is a large pool /hot tub area - with a large seating/games area with air hockey & Foosball as well as a few other games. Due to that there can be a lot of kids & there was even a birthday party on the Saturday we were there. We were shopping though so it didn't matter to us. Later in the evening it was quieter & mornings were quiet as well. We had a room around the corner from the pool so it was pretty quiet.
They have a great breakfast with LOTS of seating. For hot breakfast - there was scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles and of course biscuits & gravy. There were hard boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, bagels, toast, cereal & fresh apples & bananas. Add to that juice coffee & you are good to go.
Something kind of fun is they also make fresh baked cookies in the early evening & have two kinds of soup & crackers available from 5 to 9 pm. Overall a very good experience & I definitely would recommend it. We will stay again!

Room Tip: Rooms around the corner from the pool are quieter and are closer to the back entrance - closer to pa...

We came here for the weekend, last time we stayed here was about 7 years ago.
Changes we noticed are , the restaurant is now a free breakfast bar in the morning.
The same restaurant is supplying 2 kinds of soup for supper,(free also ) , this is good for families staying here while the kids are in the pool having a blast. The pool and hot tub are now more private and the lounge / casino area are sealed off. The rooms are nice and clean , beds soft with good linen .
Centrally located , easy to get around from here . We will stay here again.

I had never been to Great Falls or this hotel before. It had great reviews and the price was right so I decided on the Townhouse inn. I checked in around 5pm and the front desk agent was very pleasant. The lobby area was nice. I got a business class room. Upon finding the room it was evident that this was a very old property that they are trying to spruce up. It looks like it was once a Motor Inn that they built a building around to make it look like an indoor motel. The door to the room is a metal door that seems like it was once an "outside" door even though it is now indoors. The room was an odd combination of old and new. The bed, bedding and tv were newer and the desk and dresser looked alright. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. But there was this old recliner in the room that had crusty marks on one arm, the bathroom was old with a number of chips in the tub, the doors and carpets were old and the walls looked like they had been painted but instead of sanding down the walls they just painted over the imperfections. The tv had a great selection of channels to choose from. Overall it was like they were trying to renovate the room but didn't have enough money to do it properly so it was being done in stages. As for the rest of the hotel, they had a pool and hot tub but it was in the middle of the building where people would walk through it to go from their rooms to the front desk and as well the lounge was also next to it so I didn't use it. As for the lounge it said it had a casino but their version of a casino is a few vlt's in a small room. This is the same all over Great Falls. The drinks are free if you are playing and i found out why as i lost $60 in about 8 minutes. Not my lucky night I guess. The hotel puts out soup at night and breakfast in the morning, neither of which I tried. You also get free wifi in the rooms which is great. All the staff I encountered were very nice. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but chose to leave after 1 night. The staff did seem genuinely concerned when i decided to leave early but there really wasn't anything they could offer me that would've made me want to spend another night. Overall it was ok and you get what you pay for but a little older than i am used to. If I ever find myself in Great Falls again I think I would try another hotel.

We arrived to Townhouse Inn on night 2 of a cross-country road trip after traveling 10 hours on the road, the last portion of which was through an early season snowfall. The front desk staff was immediately welcoming and helpful, and we found our room to be exceptionally clean and comfortable with nice touches (such as the computer lap desk).

Although it was snowing and we decided to stay put and not check out much of Great Falls, it appeared as though this hotel was well-located to grocery stores and restaurants. Part of why we didn't need to leave the hotel in search of a dinner spot was because they had put out a soup dinner for guests, with the choice being chicken noodle or broccoli cheddar. It was such an unexpected and highly appreciated amenity and really made the stay that/much more enjoyable. Rumor has it they also sometimes make cookies in the evenings, too, but I think we missed that part. Breakfast was the conventional continental fare, neatly laid out and refreshed by friendly staff.

Parts of the property overall may seem to be a bit dated, but it looks as though they've made many improvements and the rooms themselves are comfortable, with modern linens, etc. (no nasty polyester bedspreads here).

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends for the service, cleanliness, and overall value.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful when I first arrived. They were able to show us the rooms and meet any accommodations that I had. The warm breakfast was nice to have in the morning as well as the soup served in the evenings. The rooms were kept very clean. The weekends tend to be a bit noisier if you stay in a room located near the center by the pool. This is an excellent place to bring kids if you have a family. The pool can be seen from the rooms and there are arcade and other things to keep the kids busy. There is a sauna, hot tub, and heated pool.

Room Tip: If you want a little more peace and quite get a room away from the pool as the weekends it can sound...
