“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2010

Stayed in the bridal suite. Not worth the money. Bathtub was dirty. Hot tub was not ready to use when pool area opened. Water was cold.

When we arrived we were told they had double booked and we would not be getting the suite we had booked even though I had called to confirm our reservation twice. We were given a discount on another room so we decided to stay. Rooms are nice and the bathroom looks like it was recently updated. Our young daughter loved the waterfall in the entrance. We used the pool a few times and the water was a bit cool. They ask you to pay to use the waterslide but no one is around to check if you are wearing a wrist band so I wouldn't pay upon check in.

The hotel advertises "kids eat free" on a billboard along the highway and throughout the hotel but we had to ask them to remove the charge twice when eating in the restaurant. They have prices beside the choices in the menu which i think is silly if they advertise that it's free. My only conclusion is that they hope to charge people that are unaware of it.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. The food was actually quite good but the service is terrible! We ate in the restaurant twice and both times no one came to serve us after we were seated. The first time I don't think there was any wait staff working because the busboy took our order after we waited for at least 20 minutes without even getting drinks. The second time we eventually had to go ask for a waitress to take our order and when the food arrived threee of our orders were wrong. It's too bad the front of house is so poorly run since the food was pretty good. We also tried ordering room service but were unable to get through becasue the line was busy - I tried for about 20 minutes. I phoned the front desk to see if they were really busy and he said he would have them call our room to take our order but they never did. I wonder if there is any management in the restaurant?

Overall our stay was okay but i think we will stay somewhere else next time.

We stayed for a couple of days in Holiday Inn Great Falls. The beds were comfy and room was clean. There were computers available for the use of visitors at no charge which we really appreciated. There are no laundry facilities on site, though there is a laundry-mat about 5-10 minutes drive away. There is a great farmers market right outside of the motel on Saturday and also a great market about 3 minutes walk up the street. Overall a great place to stay.

In the midst of renovations, though they seem a little behind. GOOD- room quality, internet speed, service. BAD- terrible elevators that are noisy and jerky (you can hear them banging throughout the hotel), restaurant in terrible shape. The service team and signage about the renovation were adequate- the noise can be expected, but they kept it confined to reasonable hours.

Hello, I had the misfortune of staying at the Holiday Inn Great Falls. When I checked in I was told I had requested two queen beds. I had said I requested 1 king bed. No problem its late and I want to get to my room. She then proceeds to tell me that had I been a more seasoned traveler I would have phoned the hotel to confirm. We go to our room and have a shower only to find the drain will not stay open. We call the front desk they send the maintance man hwo plungers the drain for 10 mins. Tells us how terrible all the drains are and says he will put in a repair request. The drain is never fixed. No fan in the bathroom. The cable would go out every now and again. We definatly got the message they were not interested in us or the quality of our stay. I will go back to hotwire who seem to have a better handle on who they let use there bid system. Keep in mind most people will not tell you why they left. They vote with thier feet and just go some where else.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Paid $60 through Priceline.com so wasn't sure what to expect but was hoping for the best. Boy was i wrong! The hotel was in the proccess of putting new carpet in. Not a big deal except for the banging and talking directly outside our door first thing each morning! Took the kids swimming and couldn't get back in our room because the carpet layers had put the glue on the floor on both pathways to our room. Very frustrating! The carpetlayers were very nice and apologized to us but really they are just doing their job. I just think the hotel should let people know that they are going through renovations before they book.

When we checked in the front desk clerk asked if we would be using the waterslide at the pool. I answered yes and she told me it would cost an additional $3!! WHAT??!! She explained that if we didn't pay the $3 at check in then it would cost $3 per person rather than $3 per room. That is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. We could use the pool but not the waterslide attached to the pool unless we pay?!!! Give me a break! They don't have any staff members monitoring the pool anyway to see who had wristbands on or not!

The room was dated. Air conditioning only worked during the day for some reason. The rubber bath mat for the tub had an orange smelly residue and hair on it, the shower curtain had the same orange residue and smell. The towel bar behind the toilet fell off and almost hit my son in the head (all on it's own). The shower was the WORST!! Might as well not even bother setting the temperature when you get in. It has a mind of it's own. Scalding hot to ice cold, on and off constantly!! Not fun!! I brought all of this to the attention of the front desk staff and they really didn't seem to care.

I have been going to Great Falls every November for the last 7 years with a bunch of girlfriends and we usually book 4 to 5 rooms and we are looking for somewhere different to stay. It WIILL NOT be this hotel!
