“Excellent Motel close to the Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2011

Very good motel within about 1 mile of the Perk entrance. Clean, well-appointed rooms with a excellent breakfast included. Very friendly managers and perfect location - a block off the main road! Couldn't do better!

Stayed here one night before entering Yellowstone. This is a fine hotel for spending the night. The room was comfortable and the beds were good. The whole place was clean. The amenities were what you would expect for this type of motel.

At check-in the lady behind the desk recommended a great new place to eat just north of town, The Lighthouse. It was worth the drive.

I didn't check the internet here, but that wasn't really why we were here.

It is a really handy location for the North Entrance to Yellowstone.

We would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night upon arrival at Yellowstone. This hotel is in a fabulous location. Was able to drive into the park and visit some attractions at night. Check in was fine, except we had received a discount through our health club membership and I had brought the card, but the card didn't have the actual discounted name on it. Price was honored anyway. Woman at check in was very friendly, gave much advice on where to eat in the town (Gardiner). When arriving in our room, we found a personal note which was lovely. Breakfast the next morning was very good. There was a hot breakfast and cold items. Would definetely stay again - only thing not good was the wireless internet service, basically could not open any webpages due to speed, but that's not why we were there, so a minor detail.

We stayed there from 19/6/2011 - 22/6/2011.
Nice complimentary breakfast. Owner Tom is very friendly and it's the only hotel we stayed this trip that we found a personal welcome card in our room of the owner (Tom).
When your lucky you will get a voucher for a free dessert at the Lighthouse restaurant (6 miles from the lodge).
The room is clean, for america a bit smal but big enough for 2. A small fridge to keep your things cool. A very good bed to sleep in.
So, if jou need a room go to the lodge and say Hi to Tom of Cornelius and Emma from Holland.

Recently remodeled (added elevator, high count bedding, beds and top notich ammenities. The motel is kept very clean and you can tell the front office takes great pride in the properity. Location to Yellowstone could not have been better other than staying IN the Park. The hot breakfast served was varied and plentiful and constant refilling of items. The coffee in the bedrooms was Wolfgan Pucks personal brand and the carry cups were the most uniquely designed disposable cups I have ever seen. I hate drinking from paper cups , but I washed these out to take with us for rest of our travel!!! The day crew includes Kay who oversees everything while t Ken makes the breakfast He is a retired military chef .).. The night staff, Cindi is most likely one of the best you would want. She acts as a conciege, holds rooms for late check-ins and generally tries to assist guests who do not have reservations by trying to find them rooms elswhere!. The housekeeping staff is made up of Bulgarian, and Russian (?) exchange students and they are on their toes!!.

Room Tip: make your reservations as soon as possible!. It was 100% occupied on both nights we were there!.

I together with my wife and daughter selected this hotel for our Yellowstone tour of late June 2011 and we are so happy that we did the right thing.

The staff, owner Tom and Front Office Anne are supper nice, friendly and accommodative. The small lobby was so cozy.

The rooms well upgrdaded, nice and clean. The view of the snow capped mountain, yellow stone river and ares from the room was breathtaking.

Parking ample and safe.

The morning free B/F beyond our expectations. We enjoyed eating at outdoor tables. The whole area was well kept and clean.

The north enterence to Yellowstone just 5 - 10 min drive.

The facilities at the hotel at a remote area like this is worth relatively more than 5 STAR.

There are several decent eateries within walking distance to survive.

We liked the place so much that we felt sorry to leave it after 04 day stay.

Its the Best Location for any one who is planing vacation in Yellowstone.

You might not expect much from a Travelodge (when we travel we prefer to stay in minimum 3 star hotels) but it's Gardiner MT and the options are limited. This place is ranked #1 on here for a reason. The room is updated, bright and clean. We were very pleasantly surprised. We didn't eat the continental breakfast but we did notice that they had donuts, eggs, and cereal. Highly recommended for a Yellowstone stay. Plus, of course, it's Gardiner which is about a 2 minute drive from the park's north entrance and about 10 minutes from Mammoth Hot Springs.
