“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We stayed in Gardiner for one night and were so pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, and well-appointed lodging. Michael, the owner was so nice and accommodating to us. We had a two bedroom suites. The one had a queen bed in the living room plus a sofa as well as a king bedded room. The beds were very comfortable and everything has been updated and well-maintained. The kitchen seems well equipped. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. If you are planning to stay a while, Michael has added a grilling area. There were elk and moose all around the property. Michael explained everything about the room to us upon checking in. It has DVD, free movies at office, large laundry room facility if you need those.

Two weeks driving around the west, and this was the best played my family of five stayed. The cabin was spacious, the "cot" for my youngest son was really a fold out bed. The best part was the location - across the street from a nice market, and not far from a great restaurant, recomended by the hotel. They even gave us a coupon.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was more like a one bedroom apartment - living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen - even had organic coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, paper towels etc. Free wifi, dvds in the lobby, coin operated laundry, a decent grocery store right across the street! Cannot ask for more. Quiet room, yet the perfect location to stay & visit Mammoth Springs, Norris, Canyon and Lamar valley.
Kind of difficult to locate the first time, look out for signs of Super 8, it's right next to it.

This place was great, right from the start I was impressed. The personal attention by the staff was great. Nice touches like; a guided tour of our room, a satellite TV tutorial, and the free to use, nicely categorized, DVDs in the lobby. Felt like they always have you in mind.

The room was really nice, don't judge this book by the cover, though it looks really good on the outside too. It is a "off the strip" drive-up motel, but the rooms feel like a big resort style condo on the inside. Big screen Satellite TV, closets galore, and a kitchen that was stocked like a true Chef would do. No detail overlooked.

A bit odd to find on the GPS... because you feel like your driving up an alley and then you see it on the left. But that's OK because the noise was low and the Elk were out our front door in the evening.

Can't say enough. Great stay at a great price.

I think this place is overpriced. Yes, I know the entire Yellowstone area is overpriced but this was not Jackson Hole! Clean except for the moldy smell on the shower curtain. Usual amenities such as hair dryer, teeny tiny soaps, shampoo. Huge flat screen TV and free wifi that worked fine. The office provides a selection of DVDs for guests at no charge and there is a DVD player in the room. Not enough lamps or lighting in the unit we were in ("manager's unit"). If you both want to read in bed or have a bedside table for a CPAP machine, too bad....only one bedside table and lamp.
Micro fridge fine. Coffee maker fine. King bed slept well. We used the on site laundry for a small fee but the detergent was free.

So about that location....it is a dirt road off the main road with very poor signage to indicate where to turn. You must drive past sketchy looking housing to arrive at the motel. It is NOT an inn nor a B&B so I don't have a clue why TripAdvisor lists it as #2 inn in Gardiner, MT.

Four elk munched in the adjacent lot in the evening and lay down there as night fell.

Room Tip: Ask for one with good lighting. The manager's unit (apparently he only lives there in the winte...

We chose this while visiting Yellowstone with family and friends. We booked a 2 bedroom suite with foldout beds in the living room. It had a full kitchen too. Very clean. Great location near the north entrance. Totally renovated. Near good restaurants and a great grocery.

It is hard to find, sitting back from the road behind the Super8.

We stayed three nights at the Yellowstone Gateway Inn. If we go back to that part of the world we would stay there again. Michael, the owner, is on site, and is very helpful. He has been remodeling the units; our unit was very attractive, tile and wood on the main area floors, carpet in the bedroom, beautifully done bathroom, very clean, well equipped kitchen. We took advantage of the gas grill for dinner one evening.
