“Best South of BIG SKY! Awesome People, Food and BAR!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

The Cinnamon Lodge was an amazing value-We stayed in Cabin 4 - it was right on the Gallatin River. Its a rustic cabin with all the comforts of home including a full kitchen, screened in pick nick table, and fire ring. Rainbow trod out the back door and the best mexican food in Montana. The owners Ryan and Morgan are GREAT! They are totally accommodating and mix great drinks! Stop by with friends and do a Ski Shot, hang with the locals (which really means its good) and book a cabin! Hiking straight across the road to Cinnamon Mountain and across the bridge to an old abandoned mine! It doesn't get much better! Walk the river, fly fish, and see spectacular wildlife every inch of the way! We had a blast and will be back for sure!

“worth the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

My large family and I were staying at a resort near by, heard about this mexican food place close by. We love mexican food. Only concern was how would it be in Montana, needless to say we were not disappointed. My family tends to eat late, we got there at 9pm, no one was there so we had the place all to ourselves. Kids really enjoyed the animal heads on the wall. The food was tasty, fresh, and large portions, and spice to taste. The waiter was friendly. We had a good time there. I would recommend this place for someone looking for mexican food.

“Great Flank Steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

We went to the lodge on TA reviews and were not dissapointed. The location is out there if you are staying in WYS. We were staying on the north end of Henrys lake in Island Park Idaho approx 17 miles from West Yellowstone. It made for a 54 mile one way trip. The ride was nice if you hadn't been all day in the park. You also have to remember when you talk about that type of mileage in Mt. it's usually a straight shot, no lights, steady driving. The lodge was nice and clean with an upbeat attitude and lots of smiling people. The service was fast and attentive.
We had the bacon wrapped jalapenos $10 for 6(?), Fajitas$18, and the flank steak ($22). Chips and salsa were brought to the table first and we ordered a Margarita and a beer. Margarita was good, but 6.50 for a glass. The chips were warm and crispy and the salsa was awesome. It was closer to a pico de gallo, fresh, without a lot of paste. The jalepenos were tasty with a cream cheese filling. I thought the price was a little high for the portion. The fajitas were good, but not extraordinary for the lack of a lot of flavor and price. The veggies were basic and very limited on tomato. The flank steak however was a dish two people could eat. I thought I was just getting the steak with some veggies, but there is a list of combos your steak can come with to the right of the menu. I chose the rellano and tamale. It also came with rice and beans. Needless to say we had to take most of that home. Split it if you go. I think the price on that dish was spot on. I rated the food average as a whole but the flank was very good. All in all a good experience, and maybe the best mexican in the area but I have had better for less. If you are in the area go, if you have an early day go, but if you are just looking for dinner, go some place closer.

“Cinnamon Lodge stay in mid-June.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

Stayed in a room in the "headwaters complex" with twin beds, bath, and kitchenette for two different nights, once at beginning of trip to Yellowstone, and once before flying out of Bozeman. Room was clean and listening to the Gallatin River in the river outside the cabin was a delight. Had great food at the restaurant and Morgan was a great help making the reservations and answering any questions I had about the area. A great place to stop in between Bozeman and the national park. Also had free Wifi that worked fine. Only negative is the restaurant doesn't open until 4pm, so be prepared to fix your own breakfast or go to nearby Big Sky for it.

“Good Mexican but Too Far to Travel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

The Cinnamon has some good Mexican and beef fare, but its location is great if the diner is returning from Yellowstone or staying at the complex. Ryan and Meghan are wonderful hosts. Go in the summer when the travel is predictable.
