We were traveling with family so needed a larger yet affordable place and the off-site properties managed by the Dancing Bears fit the bill. We rented a home for two nights in East Glacier that allowed us to visit the park yet handle our own meals and had space for kids. The home was well appointed and maintained.

Occasionally you'll find a budget motel with free coffee. But this place had a full on stocked breakfast that you could snack on whenever. The assortment was great- yogurt, granola, fruit, berries, cereal, breads, jams, frozen croissant sandwiches that you could microwave, etc. Way better than any other continental breakfast. Also, the room was stocked with menus of nearby restaurants so we could decide where to eat before driving around town. Also, they love the neighborhood stray dogs. Anyone who wouldn't love or help the strays wouldn't be trustworthy in my book.

I only spent one night at the Dancing Bear but I enjoyed it! Room was cozy and bed comfy, the staff was nice. As a plus you can get good food a few steps away, at the Two Medicine grill. Last but not least, at this time of the year (mid October), it is one if the few places to remain open in the area so thank you Dancing Bear!

What an amazing little motel. We stayed in one of the Queen cabin rooms with the jetted tub and it was quite comfortable. The managers, Kim and CJ, were probably the most helpful and knowledgeable managers we have ever met. You could tell they are both passionate about what they do and that is surely a nice change from some of the other staff we have encountered at seasonal locations. The motel is open year round which is great and the breakfast spread with all the organic foods was certainly a nice surprise. We will definitely travel to East Glacier again, if for no other reason than to stay at this motel.

Room tip: Ask about all the different room types. The managers will go out of their way to make sure you are in a room that fits your budget and style.

But...wow...not a wonderful night's sleep. We stayed in a queen room/double cabin and the thin walls and adjoining door to the next unit meant we heard the other couple talking, laughing, and their tv shows. This was in addition to the trains, late-arriving guests, and the howling wind. Maybe the rooms in the strip building would have been quieter. On the other hand, breakfast items included organic cereals, soy, rice and coconut milks, fresh fruit, and four kinds of bread...amazing choices for a small motel. And they were open off season when the larger lodges were closed!

Room tip: Ask about noise levels in the various units when booking
