“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We read reviews of this nice little motel and we were not disappointed. The managers went out of our way to make us feel welcome both checking in and during our 3-day stay. They could not have been nicer. This is a pet friendly motel and they made us feel welcome with our dog too which is not always the case with some motels. They had good, fresh breakfast selections which were available most of the day which we liked. The motel is very, very conventient to the park. Nice cozy and quiet motel for a sound nights sleep. We will definately go back!

Room Tip: Be sure and try Serrano's Mexican restaurant a block away for a GREAT, GREAT dinner!!

The room was clean and bed comfortable. The office staff, Randy and Deseare, were freindly and helpful. Breakfast was typical for a mid range place, but was available as long as the office was open. Very close to the East Glacier Lodge.

Don't know if it was because we were three adults, or because everything else had been rented already, but we ended up in a little house that's not really part of this property, just next door. The house is over 100 years old, full of strange cabinets, different floors (some very squeaky), a small step up or down between rooms, strangely located light switches, and some uncovered windows, which was strange, but we still enjoyed the place. The best thing was the free washer and dryer - we'd been on the road for over a week, so that was super. There were three queen-sized beds and two flat-screen TVs. Two of the beds were in an alcove off the living room, and the window across from them was uncovered - and that's where the sun came up, which was a bit disconcerting. We covered the window with plastic bags on our second night. It was a bit noisy because of all the Amtrak (and other) trains that come through the little town quite often, but we managed. I did move around some lamps so that I could read in bed - always an important thing to me! The place was absolutely spotless, and the kitchen was stocked for anything we wanted to fix - mostly coffee. We never got to the reception area for snacks, as we were in Glacier early (I think we ate peanut butter crackers and apples in the house before we left). Randy recommended Serrano's, which turned out to be a super restaurant in a little town that had little else to recommend it. I'd certainly go back and would love to see what a regular room looks like - although, having read CarolDM1900's review, I think we lucked up by having the house with the free washer and dryer!

Room Tip: Don't know what the regular rooms are like. I can describe only the little house.

We were looking for reasonably priced lodging near Glacier National Park and found it in this cozy, comfortable place. It is just a few miles from the Two Medicines area of the park and within walking distance of Amtrak, the 100-year old Glacier Park Lodge with its great bar and dining, a selection of local restaurants (including the very popular Serrano's Mexican), convenience stores and shops.

Our room was in one of the duplexes just a few steps from the main lodge. It was very clean and comfortable, with homey touches, like a plush chair next to the queen-sized bed and a small writing desk and chair for all the postcards you're bound to send from such a scenic place. The bathroom was small, but had a jet tub in it. We loved the shower curtain with bears and moose dancing across it--very cute. The dressing area immediately outside the bath had the sink with surrounding counter and drawer/cabinet for storage space. The flat-screen TV was quite large, although the local satellite service left a lot to be desired. One thing we really liked was the large windows that made the place bright and airy. Decor was nicely done, kind of cozy and friendly, just as you would expect from a place with such a charming name, "Dancing Bears."

Randy and Desiree are friendly people who work hard to make sure their guests are happy. They offer a good selection of drinks and food all day at the reception area, where there are a couple of comfortable rocking chairs to sit down and enjoy your breakfast or snacks. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Randy suggested a visit to a local waterfall that most tourists would otherwise miss, so we appreciated that, and he was also helpful in pointing us to a local laundromat, which we badly needed. We enjoyed chatting with them from the rocking chairs by the reception desk as we had breakfast or a cup of coffee later on.

We were in East Glacier Park early in the season, and Randy and Desiree were still busy sprucing things up, planting colorful flowers, and otherwise making sure that this very comfy and well-run place was ready for the summer tourism season.

If you choose to arrive by train, you can walk right to the lodge if traveling light or let Randy know and he'll come get you. These folks are very friendly and accommodating. Rates were modest, considering the overall quality of the lodge and the much higher charges generally found this close to the national park. All in all, it was a great visit and we would be happy to return.

Room Tip: Go for the room with the jet tub, great after a long trip or a day of hiking.

Cozy is a good description for this friendly little motel. We were greeted warmly by Desiree and Randy helped us with our luggage. We were really impressed with how clean and neat the room was. The breakfast area is open all day with a great variety of snacks and the coffee is always on.
Desiree cheerfully brewed a pot of decaf for my wife. The owner is health-conscious and even provided three kinds of milk--soy, rice, and regular. We will definitely return when we are in this area.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome. The owners recommended a great restaurant, just down the street (well, everything is just down the street). Breakfast was included and they even had Poptarts! If we're ever down this way again, we'll for sure stay here again!

Cozy updated rooms make it a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great central location to the east side of Glacier Park to explore all the great things to the park has to offer. Will definatly stay there again!
