“Friendly and cosy.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Stayed 2 nights in september in Mountain Pine Motel. Very friendly owner. I e-mailed him for making a reservation and he gave me a phonecall to confirm our reservation. The whole site is lovely, with a lot of flowers and it is great fun, to sit outside in the garden for an apero. Resto's are at walking distance. Yes, the rooms are sober, but they are very clean and cosy and very quiet. And the environment is so beautiful that you will not stay for longer in your room than it is necessary. No breakfast. We liked to be there. Recommended.

The big chain motels could learn from this "mom and pop"--actually mom and son--motel! While it takes you back to the old "motor court" days of the 40s and 50s, it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They even provided a small frig, a microwave, and a coffee maker for our room during our 5 day stay. Coming into town over the rough highway 49, we wondered if we had made the right choice to stay on the east side of the park--wonderful decision if you have come to hike! And you don't want to miss Doris, a delightful innkeeper! East Glacier itself is an interesting experience. If you want to hike, see bears, moose, mountain goats and bighorn sheep, stay on the east side of the park, and by all means stay at the Mountain Pine motel. It just may be the best lodging value you'll ever have.

The best thing about this motel is the location, right at East Glacier within walking distance of the Glacier Park lodge and restaurants. The owner and his mother operate this motel and they're very nice. The bed wasn't as good as some others, really rather old but the location of the motel is still a good value.

Cute couple runs this budget friendly motel that has everything you are looking for for a nights sleep. Even forgot shampoo and the owner was happy to accommodate. If you are strictly looking for a place to rest you head before you head out in to the wild, this is the the place to book. Very clean and affordable.

Good price, the room was clean. The location is just right for day trips to other areas of the park. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We got lots of helpful tips and directions. Walking distant to place to eat. They have the most beautiful flowers around the motel.

Although the age of this property leads me to downgrade it a little, it is exceptional for what it is. The price is excellent, the location is great, and it definitely met our needs. Both Terry and Doris were very helpful.

Watch out in the morning and evening when walking from the property. You may find yourself in a stampede of horses on their way between pasture and stable. That was an interesting and somewhat stressful experience, but they all missed us as they galloped past.

Good price. Room was clean. Terry (the owner) was very friendly. Location is unbeatable if you're looking to explore the Two Medicine area of Glacier NP.

Obviously not a fancy place, but you're here to enjoy the OUTDOORS, anyway!

Oh, and there's actually some really good food nearby -- just ask Terry for recommendations.
