“Nice Bed & Breakfast in a Small Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

Thanks Joe & Rita for a nice stay! We spent one night at Inn Dupuyer. Found the owners to be really nice and welcoming. Beautiful 100 year old home remodeled and updated. Very relaxing and lots of character.

Room Tip: They only have one room with an "in suite" bath, so ask for it. Also, plan to eat dinner...

If you ever plan to visit Glacier and travel through Montana, this Inn will be a highlight of your trip for sure. The authentic Western look will add an extra dimension to your stay and your children will love to play around in the garden with the Teepee, stage coach, and other restored antiques which will amaze you for sure. Joe and Rita are great hosts with a relaxed and attentive attitude that will make you feel welcome and at home for sure. I dare say that the Inn Dupuyer was the most original stay of all our nights in the USA and our family would highly recommend this Inn to all families, but also backpackers or other travelers.

We stayed here one night and wished we had stayed a few more. Joe and Rita were great hosts and took care of everything - despite also running Dupuyer's Grizzley Days that weekend (pig wrestling, duck races, and more great small town stuff).

The view out the back is gorgeous with the Rocky Mountains in the distance. The property is done up great - with an authentic Teepee (you can have a campfire inside it if you want), a stage coach, bonfire pit, and more).

We were travelling with another family, and the 'Bunkhouse' inside was perfect. There is a bedroom with a queen and then a separate room with four twin beds - a shared bathroom for the two - but a perfect setup for a family. Kids could watch a movie as they went to bed. The Honeymoon suite was where the wife and I stayed. Very nice with its own 3/4 bathroom. The inn has several other rooms available.

The place has a real authentic homey feel to it and all of us loved it. Joe and Rita had breakfast on in the morning - pancakes with huckleberry syrup. They seem to really enjoy meeting people from all around the world.

Dupuyer is a small but proud town. There is a bar, a small grocery store and a few other shops. There is one shop where a lady owns her own sheep and dyes her own wool to make hats, mittens and other items. If you are looking for something unique rather than traditional gift shop trinkets...stop by her shop.

If you are traveling to Glacier National Park - this is a perfect stop on your way to the park. Going to the Sun Road/St. Mary entrance is a little over an hours drive. Definitely would stay here again.

A previous poster complained rooms could not be locked - all of our rooms had old fashioned skeleton keys and could be locked. I do not believe this is an issue.

Room Tip: Rooms were fantastic....request the bunkhouse if with family....you could even request the Teepee if...

We stayed here one night on 7/8/07. It is a small B&B located one block off highway 89 in the community of Dupuyer which is located between Great Falls and East Glacier. The innkeepers, Joe & Rita, were super friendly and helpful. They inquired about any possible food alergeries or food request for breakfast, and gave directions to an excellent restaurant for dinner, amd called to make reservations.

The house was a lovely home with period furniture in mint condition. You could see the edge of the Rocky Mountains near Glacier National Park in the distance.

My only concern was that our bedroom door did not have a lock on it.

  • Liked — Friendly inn keepers.
  • Disliked — No lock on the bedroom door.
