“This hotel needs updates!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

My family checked into this hotel for 3 nights (8/9-8/12) and we had 2 rooms. Upon entering the lobby it felt like the a/c had never been turned on inside the hotel. There was one person checking people in and a long line forming. A manager finally came out to check us in and it was obvious he was pretty clueless about how to check people in. He kept asking how I had made the reservation, through a travel agent, online, or through the hotel. I'm not sure why that made any difference. Both rooms we reserved and paid for should've had a microwave and refrigerator, however upon getting into our room we ended up without. I called down to the front desk and the woman said they didn't have anything available and we were already paying at a discounted rate. I challenged her and she said she had a long line of guests waiting to be checked in so she would have to call me back. Guess what, she never called back! We stopped by the front desk later that evening and spoke to the same manager who checked us in and he was still clueless. Instead of bringing us a refrigerator he said we would have to move the next day. We decided to not move because it was too much trouble. The hotel is in need of repairs; wallpaper hung off the walls in the hallways, there were doors to rooms that had half an inch gap at the top of them, the pool was ice cold, the fitness room had a hodgepodge of equipment, there was mildew in the shower, by the B3 entryway the floor board heater was pumping out very hot air, which could have been the reason why the hotel was hotter inside than outside, and there is no elevator so all luggage has to be carried up stairs. Our beds were not made on the first day because we had left personal belongings on them. We've stayed in a lot of hotels and have never had this happen. Upon checking out I spoke to Carri who actually listened to what had happened when we checked in. She took $10 off our stay, which wasn't much but she was the only one who seemed to understand we didn't get what we reserved and paid for. If we ever make it back to Butte this is one hotel we will never stay at again!

We reserved our room at this place cause it had a restaurant and lounge on sight. Restaurant was closed, the lounge was so hot we couldnt stay. We were told that the air conditioning had been down for months. The room wasnt too bad except mold in bathroom. but the hotel on a whole was trashed, very old. Wall paper falling off the walls. Trash was everywhere outside. Dirty, dirty dirty. Looked like a dump and no way I would go back.

My job involves 100% travel across the USA. I came to stay at this location due to a vehicle breakdown 30 miles West of town. This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in in a very long time! the staff is very pleasant and accommodating to a guests needs! The hotel has an onsite lounge (with gambling if you like) that has seating on the patio near the poolside. A wonderful Pool & Spa, and even has facilities for exercise. The only thing missing is on site laundry services. When I asked the staff about this, they apologized and made mention of the local laundry service that is available (if you drop your laundry off by 8am they will have it back to you by approximate 5pm.) They have been very accommodating and there are no complaints here!

This is a definite revisit and place to take your family! I have been here for 3 days now and they also have a complimentary continental breakfast that contains: scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, toast, bagels, cold breakfast cereal, boiled eggs, milk, orange juice, apple juice, oatmeal, and condiments. You are able to bring your food back to your room if need be and leave the dishes outside of your room for housekeeping. housekeeping staff is very pleasant and wonderful to interact with! If anything is needed they are very polite and willing to serve the guest. This hotel is unlike many other places that I have stayed, the service is simply OUTSTANDING!

If I have to comment on a negative, which is hard to find about this hotel, it would be the fact that it is a multistory hotel with no elevator so please be sure and make mention that you need a lower floor if you have a handicapped traveler with or in your party.

Room Tip: make sure you pick up the Hotels guide (green book) when traveling as they have a coupon listed in t...

We made a reservation with this motel and cancelled within 2 hours. We were told there would not be a charge, but they went ahead and charged us anyhow. They never said there was a 24hr cancel period and they never gave us a confirmation number. If we were told they were going to charge us (even though the motel was not up to Quality Inn standards) we would of stayed. These people have lied to our credit card company and to us, I would not deal with such dishonest people and I think Quality Inn should look into our complaint!

Room Tip: Do not do business with motel

This hotel is a complete dump, the rooms are disgusting, bathroom was dirty and had mold. $162 for this room. But we had a long day on the road and needed a place to stay that accepted pets, and this was all we could find that had space. Next time I will continue on to the next city if this is all thats available. Quality? Hahahahaha, good one.

Nothing remarkable about this former War Bonnet Hotel. Another "has-been" that has been snapped up by Choice Hotels and named a Quality Inn. Staff was pleasant and our stay was a short overnighter.

This hotel is currently experiencing a management crisis. Took 3 tries to get a room that did not smell of mold, urine, or cigarettes. There were holes in the bedding and the air conditioning in the room was very loud. We went to the bar to get a drink and the temperature was very hot as the air conditioning was out there, too. The employees were nice, but the hotel is in poor repair (the baseboards in the bathroom were attached to the wall with tape). Quality Inn needs to get this hotel into shape, as it is currently unsatisfactory.
