My family checked into this hotel for 3 nights (8/9-8/12) and we had 2 rooms. Upon entering the lobby it felt like the a/c had never been turned on inside the hotel. There was one person checking people in and a long line forming. A manager finally came out to check us in and it was obvious he was pretty clueless about how to check people in. He kept asking how I had made the reservation, through a travel agent, online, or through the hotel. I'm not sure why that made any difference. Both rooms we reserved and paid for should've had a microwave and refrigerator, however upon getting into our room we ended up without. I called down to the front desk and the woman said they didn't have anything available and we were already paying at a discounted rate. I challenged her and she said she had a long line of guests waiting to be checked in so she would have to call me back. Guess what, she never called back! We stopped by the front desk later that evening and spoke to the same manager who checked us in and he was still clueless. Instead of bringing us a refrigerator he said we would have to move the next day. We decided to not move because it was too much trouble. The hotel is in need of repairs; wallpaper hung off the walls in the hallways, there were doors to rooms that had half an inch gap at the top of them, the pool was ice cold, the fitness room had a hodgepodge of equipment, there was mildew in the shower, by the B3 entryway the floor board heater was pumping out very hot air, which could have been the reason why the hotel was hotter inside than outside, and there is no elevator so all luggage has to be carried up stairs. Our beds were not made on the first day because we had left personal belongings on them. We've stayed in a lot of hotels and have never had this happen. Upon checking out I spoke to Carri who actually listened to what had happened when we checked in. She took $10 off our stay, which wasn't much but she was the only one who seemed to understand we didn't get what we reserved and paid for. If we ever make it back to Butte this is one hotel we will never stay at again!
