I have been to the recently opened Blacksmith restaurant twice with small groups of friends, once for lunch and once for dinner. At lunch, a variety of foods were ordered and shared including the eggplant and lamb sandwiches, mushroom soup, salads, and a caramel dessert which everyone thought were very, very good. We enjoyed the causal and relaxed setting and appreciated the good service. For our dinner experience the restaurant was full, yet we still appreciated the prompt setting and very good service. Again, a variety of foods were ordered and sampled including the calamari appetizer, salmon risotto, shrimp with spaghetti, and grilled lamb. We all enjoyed the wine and food, with the slight exception to the lamb being a bit undercooked. The owner came around and talked to the patrons for a few minutes which was nice. Our only recommendation would be to put some acoustic panels or frames on the walls to cut down on the noise level. With a full restaurant everyone in our group thought it was way too noisey and interfered with normal conversation. I do however, recommend this place to others.
