“Served its purpose”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Room was clean and comfortable and the price was good. Location was just outside of the city center with a straight shot in. They allow dogs for $10. People were friendly. Complaints would be that when I asked about a good local lunch place to check out, I was told that "Applebee's was pretty good". It is also very close to the railroad so if you are a light sleeper the train will probably wake you up a few times during the night as it did me. Although the hotels on the other side of the tracks probably had the same issue. I only tried the breakfast one day and was disappointed. While they had a hot breakfast the eggs tasted like wet dog and I did not want to go near the "sausage". The pastries were a bit stale as well, but they had a waffle maker that did make good waffles and the coffee was good. All in all, if you are not planning on vacationing in this hotel it was a great, clean, cheap spot to lay your head for the night.

We were in Bozeman for YSL Ski Championships at Bridger Bowl. We stayed 2 nights here and were very pleased. We got a spacious 2 queen room with kitchen for $110 per night - great price. It is also super convenient to Bridger Bowl - basically 2 turns and 30 minutes away. All of the advertised amenities - breakfast, pool, fitness room - were available and of decent quality. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: We upgraded from a standard 2 queen room at $90 per night to a 2 queen with kitchen room for $110 an...

Loved, loved, loved that it wasn't a franchise! Individually owned, this beautiful hotel is more like a bed and breakfast with Laurie, the owner, right there to accommodate her travelers making sure they are taken care of just right. Price was great, room was clean and very nice, and breakfast enjoyable. The pool looked very nice, though our quick stay didn't allow us to enjoy it. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean room with full accommodations.

The MountainView is a great hotel with clean rooms, great service, and friendly staff (especially Laurie), and in a quiet part of town, near I-90 with quick access to the business centers on 19th, 7th, and Downtown Main st., and is the closest hotel to the airport. All for a good price.

I recently stayed here in October 2013 and was very impressed. For the price, it can't be beat. My stay was short and I did not take advantage of the pool area; but considering the large, clean room, great view, excellent mountain lodge decor in the lobby, and tasty breakfast featuring biscuits & gravy and good quality coffee...I was more than satisfied. I stayed mid-week, so it was very quiet as well. Upon checkout, I made sure to thank the manager and let him know that my stay at MountainView Lodge & Suites may have been the best hotel stay I have ever had.

Always a good stay, nice, clean and very nice accommodations. We have been going there for 4 years, always the week before Thanksgiving for our hunting trips. We compete for rooms with volleyball players attending tournaments also in town but they always have a room available for us. We will be back again this November 2013.

We stayed here because this site allowed dogs. The staff was friendly, but that's about it for the positives. Our room was dated with mediocre beds. The hideaway was very uncomfortable. The noise outside the room kept our daughters up until late. Breakfast was ok...but the woman who worked there was more interested in chatting with her friends than keeping things stocked - especially coffee! Some guests fumbled around until they figured out how to make some. The price for our room definitely was a turnoff. We won't return.
