This is a nice, hotel, fine dining restaurant. I had a butternut squash soup, which was nice but lukewarm, and the trout, smothered with shiitake mushrooms and some bacon bits. It was perfectly pleasant, but the trout was so buried in the mushrooms and bacon bits that it was hard to enjoy it as trout. I would call this "trying too hard". A simpler presentation would perhaps have made the trout more enjoyable. But it was pleasant, and more than I expected for a hotel restaurant in Billings.
Service was cordial and ambiance was nice.
