“About like it says”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

The cost is right, three kids, one adult and a stroller rental for $25. I would describe it as more of a covered trail walk with a few animals along the way. Since it's not too expensive, I wasn't too disappointed.

“Really liked this zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

We went to Billings and it was really cool to see the zoo. It was very hot that day but I had a blast. They had various different animals but not a lot. There were 2 ducks that came up to us and started wagging there tails like a dog. They were quacking at us and it was funny. Too bad they were behind a fence. Zoo Montana was great!

“Not very well maintained”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The best thing I could say is that we at least go to see all the animals except the deer. The grounds were so overgrown that certain animals could hardly be seen. If they could just mow the lawn it would make a huge difference.

“Worst and best zoo experience!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

I do agree that this is a run down zoo, with very little animals and closed areas, however my family and I had the best zoo experiences there. We sat 5 feet from the bear while he played like a toddler, swam and had a blast. It was like watching him in his real element, and not just sleeping in the corner like other zoos. The tiger was even better!!! He was right up at the window pacing back and forth rubbing his fur against the glass. He then stopped at my 5 year old boy and put his paw up at his head. The tiger opened his mouth and looked like he wanted to eat my sons head. It was so cool!!!! Good thing for 10 inch glass.
We could have stayed and watched the bear & tiger for hours! Glad we tried it out, but probably would't pay to do this again.

“help for the animals”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

this Zoo seriously needs help in upgrading their attractions. the animals do look cared for. but there is not that many of them at all. for all the walking you do it is more an exercise path than anything else.
