“Skip the Pub food for sure!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Bigfork Inn has always been one of our favorite restaurants for the last 2 years. We have always enjoyed the pub menu but last night convinced us that we will never go again. The fish in the fish and chips was dry and tasteless. The pub chips appeared to be overcooked breakfast potatoes. The fish tacos had the same tasteless fish, stuffed in a greasy corn tortilla and had some sliced cabbage with it. No tomato, no salsa, or any kind of sauce. Blah!! Done with the Inn. We'll go back to the Garden Bar for our pub food from now on.

“It was okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

It was pretty good. The dinging room was full so we ate at the bar but we ordered off the dining room menu. It seemed like the best choice....

“It's all about the duck”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We had a large family group of fourteen for dinner before a play. I've eaten here each time I am in the area so it's kind of a tradition. For me the only thing to get is the crispy duck which has probably remained unchanged on the menu for many years. It's excellent. The wine list is short but has good choices at very reasonable prices. The décor is typical for the area and has lovely swiss chalet feel. Others from my table found their food to be excellent to slightly overcooked. If you want it medium, then order it rare. My son's cheeseburgers and potatoes was so well done that he could not eat it. After a mild comment to our waitress she took it off of our bill with no fuss. Overall the service was fine, my duck great, and the evening a success. I'd go back.

“Unfriendly and disappointing....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We also made reservations here prior to seeing a show. We had booked a large table but half of the party could not make it last minute through no fault of their own. The host was incredibly rude when she found out that it was a smaller group, and not empathetic what so ever. So rude that we considered going elsewhere but it was getting close to show time so we stayed. The bad service continued with our server as well. She was unfriendly, impatient with our children and slow to attend to us. My husband had the schnitzel and rated it as average. I had the Mediterranean salad, and the tuna was way too salty. The kids chicken fingers were homemade and tasty. The atmosphere is definately kid friendly, if you get a server who likes kids, our server wouldnt even bring us a kid menu. I agree with the other reviewer, there are many wonderful places to eat in this charming town, we will not be returning to the Inn.

“Cute restaurant in the town of Bigfork”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Our family has dined in Bigfork every summer before we take in the summer theatre show for the night. We ate at the Bigfork Inn, and enjoyed our meal. We called for a reservation, because we know how busy the town is in the evening before a play performance.

The menu has variety, the service was good, and the staff very pleasant to visit with at our table. We all enjoyed our meals. The prime rib was delicious, and we enjoyed our table by the window. The bar area is also very nice.

We have sat outside on their patio for a dinner. We have chosen to sit inside from now on. The outside of the building has wooden shingles. We discovered during our last outside meal, that bees were flying to and from the spaces between the shingles as we ate. Since one of our party is allergic to bees, that was our last and only dining "out" experience there.
