We stayed at the Marina Cay (Courtyard Suites unit) for an extended weekend. It was an absolutely pleasant stay. Since it was the low (or "shoulder") season the summer amenities were not available but the quality of the stay was very good (we would have enjoyed the outdoor hot tub being open but was a little early in the season). Our room was lovely, very comfortable, all the amenities needed. It was a non-smoking room that did have a very strong cigarette smoke odor when we arrived. Notified the desk and they had not be made aware this and were apologetic. The housekeeping was just the best. They were so on top of it! Was so nice to return each day to a clean condo, beds made, coffee supply always there (was great coffee by the way!). Our time went so quickly as there is much to do in Bigfork and surrounding areas all year. We definately would come back to the Marina Cay! Thank you!
We experienced a slice of heaven in an elegantly decorated room filled with dramatic and fun lighting, cushy comfortable pillow topped king bed, patio on the waterfront and gourmet style equiped kitchen. One night away felt like a complete and rejuvinating escape. Our purpose for the weekend was to preview the resort as a setting for our daughters upcoming June wedding. Following our honeymoon evening we toured the facility finding stellar one, two and three bedroom accomodations that reflected the beauty of the Big Sky country in the heart of the mission mountains. We appreciated the downhome reception given by cute, charismatic Justin and left with the complete satisfaction of knowng that our local and out of state guests will feel like royalty in this one a kind beautiful setting.
Sincerely, Karen and Bruce Suenram, [--]
We've stayed here twice, the last time in September, 2005. It was okay, not great but not bad. At the resort itself, we didn't find much to do but hang out at the Tiki Bar. There are boat tours, shopping, and art galleries in town just down the road and Glacier National Park is close by.
Had a wonderful time! The outdoor Tiki bar was great! Spent most of the time there until we found out there was a piano lounge upstairs. Very nice! Great music if you like older jazz and stuff! (Went up for cigars.) Surprised their wasn't a bigger crowd? Tiki bar music more our style ....beachboys. James Taylor, Buffet, etc. but mom and dad liked upstairs.
Rooms were great (had heard they were some of the 'newer remodels' so don't know if they are all as nice?) Went fishing 2 days on a charter ...caught limit first day, not quite as good 2nd but still good. Captain a 'chatterbox' ..... but in a good way.... never a lull in the conversation for sure? Food all good ....never had a bad experience. The other restaurants downtown were also quite good!
