“Great location, great staff, great affordable option”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

I just got back from a long weekend in Big Sky and stayed at Buck's with my husband and a group of our friends.

We were in town for a wedding at the Rainbow Ranch down the road, and Bucks was a great option for 10 of us to stay for location and price.

It is not a fancy place or a resort, but the rates are very affordable, the location is an easy drive to everything, and the food is delicious.

Our room, while basic, was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating the included breakfast every morning and were impressed by the level of service from the staff at breakfast. They clearly enjoy giving everyone a delicious, hearty meal before the start of busy active days.

We also ate dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed our meals. The people working at the restaurant were even kind enough to drive us to and from Corral that night so we could go out to the local bar without having to drive. It was a really personal level of service that was so appreciated.

We had such a great time on this trip and we're thankful to the staff at Buck's for their help in making it such a special experience. If you're not looking for a luxury marble tiles and five star resort type environment and you're comfortable with more of a rustic, affordable lodge, this is an amazing option in a stunningly gorgeous part of the state/country/world.

Three of us (all singles) shared the 3rd floor "hospitality" room. Lovely combination of spaces, well kept, convenient, with lots of room/closet space! Heating systems worked well, with separate unit in each main area, good for our different needs. This was a two-bdrm, two-bath, fold-out sofa in livingroom, with kitchen. Restaurant attached offered quality steaks/drinks/game dishes. Bar is rustic, a long counter, Old Montana style, pretty. Close enough to restaurants, 20 min. drive to main lifts of Big Sky or Moonlight Basin, roads are good year-around. We rented a car vs using shuttle to arrive here, and were glad we did, to explore the area!

Room Tip: Recommend higher floors for quieter footsteps in ski boots in the early a.m.....and away from the s...

We stayed at Buck's T-4 Lodge for two nights back in September 2012. The room was clean, cosy and very quiet. The price was comparably cheaper. Parking, Internet and breakfast were all included. As long as you don't mind the 40 minute drive to Yellowstone, this hotel is great for a family to stay at. The scenery was amazing in the morning. However, you have to pay extra attention at night as there were no street lights, also combined with a lot of curves. Oh and their breakfast bacon! They were the best I ever had! Next time I go visit Yellowstone again, I'll stay at the same place. Yes, just for the delicious bacon.

Located on the highway Buck T-4's is easy to find.
Great value for a lift and lodging package.
The rooms are large and very clean.
Hot tub is large and outdoors.

Only negative:
The dinning room is over priced.

We stayed at Buck's T-4 for three nights (March 23, 24 & 25) and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was great and most accomodating. We got the ski package and when we decided to switch and try Moonlight for a day, it was easy to switch. We were glad we went to Moonlight as it was more convenient and user friendly. Thanks, Josie.
The hot breakfasts were great especially the THICK bacon. My next ski trip to Montana will be to Buck's.

We stayed here to ski at Big Sky. Our friends stayed on the mountain and while that location was more convenient (ski-in ski-out), our room at Buck's was much larger, renovated more recently, better equipped (no microwave on the mountain) and the scene mellower. Oh, and half the price. It was about a 15 minute drive to the ski hill. The breakfast was decent and they made an effort to change it up a little each morning. The hot tubs were EXCELLENT. The restaurant was packed every night and had a very cozy hunting lodge feel with large game heads on the wall. My husband (and I) loved the Wagyu burger. Word of advice -- SKIP THE STRIP LOIN -- it was a complete disappointment. I was later advised that I should have ordered the bison or deer. Something to look forward to next year.

We stayed at Buck's T-4 Lodge this past weekend. My review may be a bit skewed, since it was a very busy weekend for them, with a large reunion taking place.
Considering that, the staff handled it very well. Every request was handled immediately, and efficiently.
It was very reasonably priced with a Big Sky ski pass included. There is a shuttle to Big Sky that leaves every hour.
The rooms and halls could use updating. The beds were very comfortable, and a great flat screen TV.
We loved the 2 hot pools. They were perfect temperature with the cold Montana evenings. We also enjoyed the huge outdoor stone fireplace. That was one of our highlights.
The breakfast was okay, not the best, and could have been because of the large number of people visiting that weekend.
We did not eat dinner at the restaurant , but heard the food was great.
The front desk staff was very efficient, and she actually offered for us to use her snow scraper, since we misplaced ours.

Room Tip: I think most rooms have a beautiful view of the beautiful Montana mountains.
