We stayed three days at this hotel. While it is out of town, we did not find this to be an issue. The pool was closed the first day we were there, which was a huge dissapointment to our kids who had traveled a while in a car and were looking forward to swimming. Upon arrival, I unfolded the stow away bed to find old food and garbage stuck in obviously unchanged bedding. We opened the cabinet doors to put away our things only to find somebody's old clothing that had been left there. Though small issues, they left a slightly gross feeling to the room. We did bring back some groceries to keep there. Everything was packaged. However, by the third day we were dealing with ants in our room! We weren't on the first floor either. The people were plenty nice and we ate well at the breakfast each morning, but these issues we did have will keep us from using this hotel again.

Dear Lisa,
Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback regarding your recent stay. We do apologize for the less than favorable incidents you encountered, and have addressed the issues with our housekeeping department. We do strive to make every stay at the Wildwood memorable, and as you can gather from other reviews, your experience was not the standard.
On behalf of our entire staff, please accept our apologies, and can only hope that should your travels bring you back to our area you will visit with us again.

This is our go-to hotel for quick weekend trips about 100 miles away from home. Hotel is beautiful. Jeff at the desk takes great care of you. And, so much is within walking distance of the front door of the hotel -- Indigo Joe's - a great sports bar with great fried pickles and onion rings -- and, a movie theatre. I would highly recommend this hotel. Last thing, beds are extremely comfortable.

My young daughter and I stayed three days in March for spring break. We were very well taken care of by the entire staff. The beds were so completely comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the two of us were safe and cared for while traveling without my husband. The rooms are large with flat screen t.v.'s, fluffy beds, an updated bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. This will now be the hotel I stay at EVERY trip to St. Louis. Lynda at the front desk was a complete joy to work with. I'm so appreciative of the great service and beautiful hotel!

We were so pleased to find such a clean, beautiful place to stay overnight prior to flying out of St. Louis. Normally we are rewards members of a national high end chain, but have been very disappointed with recent stays. We chose this hotel based on previous review ratings. What a pleasant surprise the Wildwood is. It smells so clean when you enter and the room was spotless. It had all the amenities necessary to make it a very great stay. I agree with previous comments, the beds are FANTASTIC, best ever! Breakfast was good and everything was hot and ready by 6:30 AM. It only took us a half hour to get to Lambert St. Louis Airport, leaving at 7 AM. We will certainly stay there again. Thanks!

The Wildwood Hotel was an exceptional visit! The rooms were clean and the employees at the front desk were incredibly pleasant! We stayed in the King Jacuzzi Suite which was perfect! I Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great night's sleep and good experience altogether! It is about 20 or 25 miles from St. Louis, but well worth it. I will certainly be going back here when I am staying in the StL area.

My husband and I stayed overnight to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary/Valentine's day/my birthday. The hotel was very nice. Big rooms, nice decor. The only complaint I have has to do with other guests. We ended up having to turn the fan on (in the dead of winter) to drown out the sound of someone's radio. Kids running up and down the halls, loudly. I guess I should blame the parents for that. I assume the guests above us didn't know there was a treadmill in the exercise room because they did a lot of walking back and forth, heavily! Walls could be a little thicker(?). Otherwise, we had a great time.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor, at the end of the hall!
