“Most accomodating and fun staff ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at this hotel 4 days and it seemed like the same 3-5 people were around and friendly the whole time. Jess checked us in and later came up & checked our a/c within seconds of calling down. It was nice to see a familiar face already. We had driven about 10 hours and arrived right around kick back time...perfect!! No deciding where to eat & the kids loved the free pop all night...I loved the 3 free drinks and free popcorn for a snack later in the night. The bartender kid was very professional and later that night when my daughter plugged up the toilet (totally her fault) it was the bartender...again a familiar face up to our room within minutes. My mom was having trouble sitting in the chair and ottoman that was in her room and noticed that I had a reclining Lazyboy chair. On a whim she called the office and sure enough they sent a strong man up to switch out the chairs...no hassle, no attitude...it was done no problem. The next night we were chit chatting with a few of the "younger" staff members...in quotes because Chad thought he was sooo much younger than us but we wanted to know where they hang out for fun. He agreed that Helen Fitzgerald's just a few miles down was a good choice. They had bands and djs and was a great night. The next morning Chad's smiling face greeted us and he was excited to hear how our night went. He also offered to help me later that night ordering my kids Jimmy John's because he was afraid they were about to close. The food was food...nothing great but nothing too terrible. Lots to choose from but nothing I'd want to eat every day. For free breakfast and dinner you can't go wrong. To top it off my dad left his computer charger in the room. When he called, they offered to ship it to us. What I couldn't believe was that this staff worked so hard as a team and made everything seem effortless. We never got any negative feedback from the staff even after bugging them for 4 days for toothpaste, towels,band-aids. Even the cleaning staff asked us if we wanted service one morning and I said no. She wouldn't accept no for an answer. She said at least let me come in and get your trash and towels. So I let her in and she grabbed the trash & towels and handed me a stack of fresh towels and toilet paper. A hotel room is a hotel room but you can't put a price on this friendly & happy staff. They seem truly genuine and I will actually miss seeing them every day.

The hotel is great place to stay if have a big family, the rooms are not that big but you will saving money on going out eat for breakfest and dinner. very clean! I love that they have more than one person working and walking around make sure everything was ok!. I love how they had a swimming pool outside and indide thats great for kids! The only thing I didnt like in the laundry room they only had one washer and dryer for the whole hotel. They made me sign a no party policy if there is more than one person of your family checking in you coudlnt stay up in the lobby chat!

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated to our needs. We were a church group of 18 kids and 7 adults. The free dinner and breakfast was a plus for us allowing us to check in and not have to leave to find somewhere to take kids to eat and wait to be served before traveling to our the SuperStart conference. The manager helped arrange for our kids to swim at another Drury Inn closer to the conference to help save on our limited time schedule. The rooms nice and clean upon arrival.

The room was clean, the staff was wonderful...but, unfortunately, the night I was there, (Saturday, Oct 7th), the hotel was full because of a soccer game in town and the room I was in (203) was right above the lobby, next to the elevator. It was very noisy with everyone laughing, talking and partying in the lobby until after 10:00 that night, and again early Sunday morning when everyone was in the lobby eating breakfast.

So, my advice to anyone staying there, is this: if you are there on a weekend, make sure you don't stay in any of the rooms above the lobby!

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get a room right above the lobby...especially on a weekend! The noise level...

We reserved 2 rooms for the Columbus Day weekend, one for my husband and I and one for our daughter, her husband and 2 children. We arrived on Friday. Everyone was healthy and excited for a weekend together. The room (#313) that my husband and I had was just fine. Our daughter and her family were in room #311. By mid day on Saturday, our daughter and 14 yr. old grandson started feeling bad and coughing. By Sunday, they did not want to do anything but sleep but they sa.id they did not want to stay in the room because the A/C smelled moldy. Later that evening, the unit smoked when they turned it on. However, the kids were asleep finally so they just shut it off and did not complain! The moldy smell remained. Monday morning, our son-in-law also became ill. Upon checking out, they told the young lady at the desk about the odor and the smoke. She basically said it was their imagination and that the units always smell bad when the heat is first turned on (they did not turn HEAT on, only A/C). Our daughter pushed her and finally got her to SAY that she would have someone check it out (which i rather doubt) Upon arriving back at their home in Illinois later Monday afternoon, they all went to the doctor and were diagnosed with BACTERIAL pnuemonia. Not much fun to have a vacation that makes you ill. Would not stay at this hotel in the future.

We checked in very late and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable our room was. We travel with 4 small dogs (very well trained) and didn't even recieve a raised eye brow. The next morning we were again surprised at how many of the patrons had animals large and small. The hotel was very quiet and well maintained - absolutely no pet odors anywhere.. We will definitely stay again and recommend to everyone with and without animals. The breakfast was hot and plentiful.

Room Tip: Our room was in the middly away from the interstate so we really don't know if the front rooms a...
