“Wonderful family experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We were looking for a reasonable place to stay that could accommodate our large family over an extended weekend and Lakeview Resort caught our eye. Advertisements always make things look
their absolute best and reality usually proves to be much less appealing. Lakeview Resort was not that way. The rooms were spacious and clean and exactly as advertised. The off-season rates were great and there were even things for the family to do in the local area NOT related to fishing! The staff was always very courteous and helpful. We will definitely be planning another trip to Lakeview Resort when all of my family is ready for another relaxing long weekend!

Lloyd - We are glad that you found our resort as expected. With units from a 1 bedroom to 7 bedroom, we can usually accommodate the smallest to the largest of families. We appreciate your review and look forward to serving you and your family again real soon.

My husband and I first stayed at Lakeview a few years ago, in the Sparrows Nest, and just loved it. It was super cozy and cute and the deck is an awesome amenity! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and rented a jet ski for the afternoon at the docks. On our most recent stay, a few weeks ago, we brought 4 other couples with us and stayed at Westside Bay 243. The unit was awesome! The living room/ kitchen was the perfect size for our group to hang out, make meals, watch sports and play cards. The view was great from the top level of the building. We also got a lot of use out of the large balcony off the living room and master bedroom. The heated fishing sock was a hit too. This an absolutely great resort with a friendly staff. We shall return!

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay on both occasions. You have experienced both realms of our resort, our oldest and smallest unit by staying in the Sparrows Nest Cottage, and the newest and largest unit in condo #243. We look forward to your return visit where maybe you'll have a chance to stay in something inbetween. Thanks again.
Best regards -

Angela - We are delighted that you had a great time. We put a lot of time, effort and expense into the resort, including crappie beds, so it's nice to hear feedback like yours. We'll look forward to seeing you more often in the future! Best regards, Jake Drake - 3rd Generation

!0 years ago we scoured the internet, visited numerous resorts over several weekends and found Lakeview resort. We needed a resort that could handle our kids and their families. We rented an 11 bedroom lodge that filled our needs. 2 large decks faced a gorgeuous view of the cove and main channel. We had close access to a great swim area that was suitable for all ages. For those more comfortable with a pool there was a great outdoor as well as an indoor pool. All of our families had a fantastic time! We returned several times for these gatherings.
!0 years later, my wife and I have visited Lakeview 6 or 7 times each year. Sometimes we bring one of our childrens families, sometimes we bring another couple and many times it is just the 2 of us. The varied accommodations from modern condos to cozy lakeside cabins provide you many options to fill any need.
Many of the units that we have grown to love have been renovated and modernised. Decks are replaced as needed. New furnishings are the norm. Work to keep the resort in tip top shape never ends.
Management and staff never fail to quickly resolve any issue that you may have.
On site boat and wave runner rentals is a huge plus!
In short, we did the reasearch 10 years ago. You don't have to. For value, for any need from family gatherings to a romantic weekend for two ANY TIME OF YEAR, you absolutely can't go wrong with Lakeview Resort!
When we check-in to one of our favorite units, we always say, "It's good to be home."

Due to scheduling conflicts with school, were have not been for a couple years. We finally got a chance to go back and pulling into the resort felt like returning home to our own cottage on the lake. Lakeview is now our first choice whenever we need to give ourselves some "unwind time". Staying in the off season is such a relaxing time of the year. The lake is calm and quiet. Sitting on the lakeside deck watching the sun rise while sipping coffee is the perfect start to our morning. I would compare Lakeview to an upscale Canadian resort, but with much more to do, and of course more developed in the area. Which is nice, because we bought all of our summer clothes for next year on sale at the outlet mall! Anyone looking for a place to getaway with moderate accommodations right on the water front, should not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Cottage 33

My husband and I have been to a few different resorts for the last 4 years on our Anniversary and this one was one of the nicest. We rented the 2 bedroom condo unit room 1123 with some friends of ours and the pictures do not lie. The room was exactly how we expected it. The cost of the room was great for the size and luxury of this condo. There are some spots in the ceiling here and there that need new painting due to water damage but overall it was very clean and nice.

There were just a few negatives but they were manageable. Be aware the couch is very low because it was a sofa sleeper and there is no mattress underneath. Also you will want to bring a foam mattress topper with you because the mattress was a little hard. I thought of this ahead of time because of past experiences with other resorts. The only other negative that I saw was that the condo did not have very good parking. Although we were able to park right near the condo most nights there were not many spaces so when it got full we had to park over at another building next to us the last night there. It was just overall a tight squeeze but other cabins may be better, I am not sure.

For some having to provide your own towels may be a hassle but be assured this resort had everything else you could need so bringing some towels was no big deal. One of the neat things was the close proximity to the water. You look down from the deck and there it is you could literally fish right off your deck. That was neat and such a beautiful view which made it very relaxing.

We had BBQ thanks to their close BBQ pits and relaxed out on the deck by candle light. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub which was in walking distance from our condo, which was also very nice. It was just a perfect 3 day vacation and we plan to go back. Thank you Lakeview for a wonderful trip. The Scotts

My family and I had a wonderful time at Lakeview Resort. My siblings and I brought our father down for his 60th birthday. My dad enjoyed the fishing from the docks and from his boat he brought down. Because our family is so big we stayed at 2 3bedroom units that were right next to eachother. This was perfect! With 3 little ones under 2 we were close enough to see the lake but not so close to worry with the little ones. The older kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and all the kids enjoyed the indoor pool and park. We visited in september and everything was beautiful! The staff are amazing too! They were so friendly and helpful. I think we have found a new tradition coming back here. Sincerely very pleased!!

Room Tip: 3 bedroom uinits are perfect for a slightly larger family. We weren't on top of each other the e...
