We stayed at the Lodge at Mark Twain Lake for a family party over the 4th of July week. The lodge is a little hidden but is a great place to stay. The main house has a common area with a kitchen and living room, as well as a nice wrap-around porch/deck. The owners (Carol & Mike) do a great job at making you feel comfortable and welcome. They also make wonderful breakfasts which are included. The suite is in the main house and is upstairs. The woodwork throughout the house is quite beautiful and reminiscent of a mountain lodge or rifugio. The suite has a wonderful king size bed, full dresser, two arm chairs and ample space to stretch out and relax. The other rooms are in a separate building. We enjoyed amazing star gazing from the deck. You will enjoy your stay in a relaxing, comfortable, and delightful lodge. The lake is a great place to play.
