“Veteran B&B'r gives 5 stars to Walnut Street Inn in Springfield Missouri.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2010

My recent experience at Walnut Street Inn in Springfield, Missouri was perfect in every way. Conveniently located adjacent to Missouri State University's beautiful campus and within walking distance to many quality downtown eateries and entertainment, the Walnut Street Inn was the perfect place to stay during graduation ceremonies. The accommodations were superbly put together, the food was wonderful and delightfully presented... the staff very helpful and the clientele diverse, interesting, and friendly... one of the most pleasant B&B experiences I've had in over 20 years of nearly constant travel... Google Springfield Missouri, find something to do there just for an excuse to stay at the beautiful, Victorian style Walnut Street Inn.

What a lovely old house! We like so much we're trying to get back there before summer. The Inn has a great location (downtown Springfield). You are within walking distance of so many things. We'll be going back to catch a ballgame with their local team and we'll stay at the Inn for sure! The rooms were roomy and comfortable, common areas were nice, our host Gary was so friendly and breakfast was great! Check out the downtown art walk, the first Friday of every month.

Centally located in Springfield, Walnut Street Inn makes it easy to go around the city. We stayed in the Cottage house. The room, The Jordan, is on the second floor. Very clean and cozy rooms made our trip relaxing. Did I mention the wonderful breakfast? The breakfast tasted as good as they looked. We had a very nice stay!

What a wonderful time we had during our stay at the Walnut Street Inn. The inn is inviting and comfortable from the moment you step inside and the staff is both accommodating and friendly. Our room was just right and the beds were a ten on the “snooze” scale. Could think of no better way to start a morning than one of Rita’s breakfasts.
Judi and I are already planning our next visit. And I’m told it will be real soon.
We so appreciated the hospitality and look forward to many more visits. Again many thanks from two more-than-satisfied guests.

This was our second stay at Walnut Street Inn. The room was nice and cozy. The breakfast was very good and they gave you the option of having it in your room or in the dining room. The staff was very nice. It is a quiet and lovely place.

My Husband and I have stayed at the Walnut Street Inn a couple times now and we will be going back. The service is fantastic and if it is a quiet romantic weekend you are looking for that is what you will get. You can just curl up in your room and enjoy the beautiful decorations the fireplace and the whirlpool tub. If you do want to enjoy the town the nice folks at the Inn will help you with dinner reservations, directions or whatever else you may need. I love going to B&B's over Hotels the food is better and you can't beat the service. This is one you should try and you will be going back again and again.

My husband and I often stay in B&B's instead of hotels because they are more comfortable, don't have loud neighbors on the other side of the wall like in most hotels, and come with amazing an breakfast that doesn't involve bagels or a do it yourself waffle iron. This B&B was no exception. We were very pleased with our stay and are planning on staying with them again! They were also able to work around my husband's food allergies. And that made all the difference to us!
