The online reservations for La Quinta allows for smoking rooms, then when you get there, they have none! Why not just tell you that smoking is not allowed. However, you can have a pet in every room of the hotel, at no extra cost. So, you may be sleeping in a room where a dog or cat slept, too. Also, the rooms were not ready when we got there. This is the newest La Quinta Inn in Springfield, yet you can already see wear and tear in the rooms. Showers are just average. "Suites" are small to be called suites. If you are looking for a bargain and truth in advertising, don't look here!

Its never good to read a review where our guests experienced problems. We don't like it when we are unable to fill special requests, like a request for smoking rooms. The majority of La Quintas across the US are non-smoking and for those La Quinta's that elect to offer smoking rooms they are based on availability. The lq.com website allows you to select whether you prefer a smoking or non-smoking room but it is not a guarantee. Also, all La Quinta hotels are pet friendly and we are also well trained in special cleaning processes so those guests traveling without pets aren't inconvenienced.
Momike55, we never like to start off the hotel experience not meeting expectations. We hoped the complimentary upgrade to a business class king room would make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I'm sorry if we still left something to be desired! We would welcome another opportunity to show you we are committed to making your stay great!
