With nothing better to do on a weekend, I got the gumption of going out, and meandered to the Springfield Conservation Nature Center, where they were having their annual "Eagles Day". I love being outside and am totally amazed by the critters that surround us and am always at awe by nature.... I love looking at all kinds of birds, frogs, turtles, and anything that crawls on God's green earth..... they have a glass window area where you can look out and see deer, all kinds of birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. They even had the Dickerson Park Zoo, and brought Phoenix, a bald eagle, and Aquila, a golden eagle now how cool is that?!! These two magnificent birds up close and personal..... it did not cost anything for the show, its great for the whole family and kids as they have room where the kids could draw and make things...... they have nice hiking trails to which yes, believe or not I walked and got lost.... thankfully I was only two feet front front door.... (just kidding) The hiking trails are so cool and you can experience nature just as I feel God intended us to..... Yes it was in January, but thankfully it was not raining, or snowing and it was not cold.... please the next year if you in the area, make your way to eagles days..... How cool is that?!!
