“Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Absolute relaxation! Needed a couple of days to unwind and this place was perfect. Cozy, clean cabins, quiet setting just perfect. Deb and Mike instantly make you feel welcome like family. They even offered suggestions on things to do that were great, we made the most of our short stay. The cabins have everything you need making it easy to escape for a couple of days!!!!! Bonus: caught fish!

Nice accommodations in the woods. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Very quite and peaceful place for a Fall get away. Managers were friendly and helpful. Great place to just kick back and relax. A cracking fire on a rainy day is sooooo relaxing.

This year our family of 34 gathered at the lodge for Christmas. We rented the lodge and one of the 3 bedroom cabins for the families that had come in from out of town. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and courteous. The lodge was decorated nicely with a beautiful tree and garland for our festivities. The kitchen was fully stocked with most of the utensils, pots and pans that we needed to cook Christmas dinner. The rec room had several fold up tables and chairs and was perfect for dinner and later for the kids to play with all their new toys. The hot tub was ready to go and fully enjoyed by the younger couples. The large stone fireplace had large windows surrounding it that looked out onto the lake and had a wood burning fire for most of our stay. We had a great time, I recommend Timbers resort for any family gathering.

In need of some relaxation, my husband and I chose to spend some time in the Ozarks and found ourselves in Shell Knob, Missouri at the Timbers Resort and Lodge. What a great choice. The cabins are well built, clean and well furnished and supplied. Walking through the resort I reflected on how great it would have been to know about this place when my kids were young. From the large playground to the water trampoline and pool, my kids would have had a blast! The resort is under new management and somebody made a good decision on that- Deb and Mike went way beyond the normal management duties by showing my husband where to fish, and me where to find those great small town shops. We will be back to the Timbers Resort and Lodge

Room Tip: The manager's let us view some of the other cabins, including the lodge and all of them are tip...

We had no plans for Memorial Day May 2013 so we browsed for properties nearby and found this in the last minute. I am glad we found this place. It's a beautiful resort overlooking the lake and boat rentals are pretty much very easy and the lake dock is just 5 mins away from the cabins. Cabin was very equipped especially the kitchen with all modern n high-end gadgets. The rooms were very clean and well maintained but the number of toilets are less than the number of rooms so we were not very uncomfortable with that and to add to that the shared toilet between the queen bedroom and the twin beds room the lock was not working on one side. So we had to hang something on the door every time someone was in. There was a hot tub,one gas grill and charcoal grill, the place had a good temperature controlled pool. Overall a nice beautiful place to unwind and the staff was courteous and accommodating too.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at The Timbers. The managers made some extra efforts to assist in helping me launch my boat which was very helpful. Kids loved the water trampoline, pool and hot tub. Very nice getaway spot that's located on a great part of the lake.

This resort is a great place to vacation. I spent two nights there and the cabin I reserved was carefully appointed with nearly every amenity one could imagine including a fully stocked kitchen. The furniture was clean and comfortable with a television both in the living area and the bedroom area. The new managers, Deb and Mike, were very accomodating. Shell knob is known for being on the "quieter side" of Table Rock Lake. All of the cabins are carefully nestled in the trees. Swimming in the cove was the highlight of my stay and having stayed at numerous resorts throughout the area, I can attest that there is no other resort that can top this one. I arranged with the owners to go on a guided excursion on their boat with swimming and fishing. They couldn't have been nicer!!
