Disclosure: I was born and raised in Salem. My brother and mother still live there so I return frequently. Finding a good restaurant without driving to Rolla has been a challenge over the years.
Brick House Grill fills the void. Four of us had dinner there on a Friday night in March.
Nice seat with a view of the highway.
A variety of food - steaks, pork chop, roast beef, meat loaf, and a couple of fish options.
We ordered a steak, a pork chop and two differernt fish choices. Two sides came with the meal.
I ordered a double cole slaw and found it quite good. Lite vinegar, not bitter with crisp cabbage.
Sweet potato fries were also a crowd pleaser.
No liquor license - would be a benefit, especially for the summer tourist crowd. Ice and soda choices for drinks.
Service was a little slow. Appeared that there was only one wait person for the entire restaurant.
Good food, good value. Hope it is successful.
