“A Pleasant Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

After spending nine hours on the road, we arrived at our destination early and contacted the hotel to see if we could get an early check-in (12:00 PM). We were surprised that our room was ready and were given the green light to come on to the hotel. A++

Linda was at the front desk and was very pleasant and went out of her way to get some items for one of our kids that we were traveling with that would assist us in feeding him. Once again, the unexpected just got better.

The food and drinks were good and the kids enjoyed the popcorn that came with the evening wind down. The rooms were clean and that beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone based on service alone.

Great staff. Our room was excellent, clean and very comfortable. Super breakfast. Has been a favorite since the 90's. Keep up the excellent work! Why not perfect, it gives them something to shoot for.

Room Tip: Make them early. The best rooms Fill up quickly in the summer

We stayed at this hotel coming home from a Midwest road trip. The location was perfect for us since we wanted a location right off of I-70. It was a little tricky finding the entrance since this is a very busy area and I had to turn around and locate the correct entrance. The hotel is clearly visible, right on the highway and next to a mall. The staff is extremely friendly. The room was clean but I thought the entire hotel seemed a bit dated to me. However, I understand that they had a renovation last year. There was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway even though our room was non-smoking. It was explained that the floor did have some smoking rooms. I believe the smoking rooms should be on separate floors. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Of course, the extra goodies the Drurys are noted for were appreciated. We did eat the complimentary dinner here and it was very good. I did miss the chicken which I was informed was only provided on certain nights. I have stayed in various Drury hotels across the country and while this one was friendly, it was my least favorite Drury so far.

Our house was flooded by the recent Mississippi River flooding, so we needed a place to stay that was close...and dry. Drury Inn gave us their last room when we drug our tired selves in at 11pm. We stayed that night and another night after spending a second day trying to rescue our things from the flood. The customer service we were shown Was friendly, accommodating, helpful, and so refreshing. We've stayed there several times since then, with and without the kids, and each time has been better than the last. The breakfast food is good. The breakfast staff is cheerful and courteous, especially that early in the morning. The adult beverages in the evening are nice and they have a nice spread of appetizers too. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Slowly, but surely, the house will be back to normal soon, but until then, the Drury Inn will be our home away from home on occasion.

On a short shopping trip to "the city" we booked this room as it was close to the Mid Rivers Mall and other shopping and have stayed at, and liked, Drury Inn's in the past. This one did not disappoint. It is your basic room with large TV and very clean. The fact that they are now offering free evening "meals" was a bonus. After a day of shopping we enjoyed the chance to sit and eat free food. They have a set menu for different nights of the week according to their web site and for Saturday nights they were ti gave hot dogs, chilli and mac & cheese. Which they did (and pretty tasty actually for free!) They also had salad, carrots & celery, chips, nachos and baked potatoe which were nice surprises. Now for the down side on dinner. The wait for your "free drinks" was ridiculous (although I suppose you should expect that for free!) and their were odd "rules" when you finally got up there (certain single's count as doubles etc....) Thanks goodness we kept it simple with wine! The room was also crowded and overrun with families with small kids (again, what did I expect with free food AND hotdogs/mac & cheese) They clearly cater to this crowd and although a peaceful meal would have been nice you can't beat free! After dinner we headed back out for more shopping so took some pop corn and soda with us to keep us sustained! The next mornign breakfast was fresh, hot and much quieter as kid's were apparently sleeping in. They offer sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy and fresh made waffles as well as cereal, fruits, pastries and breads with juices. My one complaint would have to be the thinness of the walls. As our "neighbors" were preparing for bed I felt like they were literally in the room with us you could hear them so clearly. Thank goodness they were early to bedders!

Stayed here for one night last month. Location is great right off the Interstate next to the mall and a number of restaurants. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable room with plenty of space. Your stay includes their all you can eat breakfast which was pretty good, especially given how busy they were. Indoor pool area stayed quite crowded as did Jacuzzi but maybe it is like this on most weekends, that was my only real downfall to my stay as I was looking so forward to unwinding there but it was consistently quite loud and bustling with activity. This is a very pet friendly hotel - a bonus when you don't have to pay the extra fees for pets and your room felt like new!

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. While we always try to make sure we put our guests in their preferred room types, we appreciate you letting us know when that does not happen. We also appreciate you letting us know about the ceiling leak and have since repaired it. We hope the rest of your stay was wonderful and we look forward to having you with us again in the future!

The rooms are much smaller than shown on the websites. We were sold what we thought was a room with an attached living room and were very dissapointed to find that not only was our room only one room, but it was very small. It was difficult to find room for our belongings. Upon checking Inn we discovered our ceiling in our bathroom was leaking. We informed the staff and they simply wiped up the water. It continued to leak throughout our 3 day stay. The free drinks and food in the evening are nice, but you are actually paying for them if you consider the price you pay for your tiny room compared to other hotels in the area. This stinks if you are not around in the evenings for the hour and a half time period available for drinks and food, now you are paying for a service you can;t receive. The pool and spa closes at 10:00 (even on the weekends) for kids and adults which made it impossible to utilize for us. There is a free breakfast, but on the day we left we went downstairs to eat and everything had been put away by the grumpy breakfast lady 20 minutes early and we were just out of luck.
