“Excellent Customer Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

We sent a large group of employees who don't normally travel to stay at this Hilton property. It was a last minute project so there wasn't a lot of prep time. We couldn't have been happier with the service we received. From setting up the reservations with Chris Barr, to Joey Christman, Nick Medina and Billy Kelly at the Front Desk, to Phil Blandon at Guest Services and Karen Caputa in the Bistro, we encountered the best possible excellent service. They were quick to respond to anything we needed with a great attitude. Everything from the accommodations to the food to the billing was to our liking. Jeff Moll, the manager, has an excellent staff and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience.

It was a quick stay for me at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark (October 2012), but I wished I had stayed longer. Named because of it's close and focused view of Busch Stadium, this Hilton was staffed with incredibly friendly and courteous people. (The valets and bellmen were a pleasure to talk with.) My room was large, clean and didn't have the after-scent of air freshener, a good sign the room was actually clean and not made to just smell clean. I had a view of the Arch, glowing in a giant copper bow from the lights below reflecting the highlights of its bend. My room was far enough up that I heard no noise below.

There were quite a few places to eat inside—Imo's Pizza, Mike Shannon's, even a Starbucks—but I opted for the Market Street Bar. There were tons of TVs from every angle of every seat. The appetizers in the Market Street Bar were definitely five-star (but I can't say the same for the buffet breakfast. Still, you have to be a fool to get a buffet breakfast. Sure, it's cheap, but people are slobs no matter how efficient and involved the staff are, and the Russian roulette you play with germs and sickness at any buffet means the odds are never in the diner's favor. Besides, you just can't beat a freshly made over-easy egg.) The layout of the Market Street Bar is highly conducive for mingling—I spent a couple hours talking with a woman and her daughter from Georgia.

The lobby is large and sweeping, with a few couches and chairs that make it a great place to people watch, but the entrance to the lobby is right behind this area, and when the cold air wants in, it gets in. This also serves as a small cocktail lounge, but after waiting 20 minutes for someone to serve me, I went to my room and ordered room service.

The Hilton St. Louis at the ballpark has a pool and a roof-top bar as well, neither of which I had time to visit. But if I ever get to St. Louis on my own again, I'll definitely be staying there and I'll spend more time exploring the place.

Room Tip: Don't hit the breakfast buffet, but order a fresh breakfast — room service is a better option fo...

I went here for my anniversary, and everyone was very nice and helpful. They told us all the places we could choose from in town since we were not from there, and had a free shuttle to the lumiere casino! & when the weather got bad we were able to still enjoy ourselves from their rooftop bar, bar 360. It was amazing, and the Dj played good music. Overall very good experience! =)

Room Tip: The higher, the better view!

We had a large group for a Birthday get together and Mardi Gras celebration. The Hotel staff were excellent and we were treated very well at The 360 bar and also the lobby bar and restaurant, service was excellent. The only complaint I would have is that the elevators were extremely slow and could not hold more than 10 people. This did delay us a few times having such a large group, which is understandable. This was also Mardi Gras weekend in St. Louis and the hotel had over 600 guests for the weekend alone. We had very friendly people at the service desk, Tim was very helpful on our check out. Overall our visit was excellent.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on your recent stay with us! It's hard to find a much better outing for a 21st birthday celebration than Mardi Gras! We're thrilled that you and your group had such an enjoyable stay with us and we do hope that you'll come back and visit us again soon. And I have forwarded your comments about the elevators on to the appropriate Manager. Thank you again for your review!

Enjoyable and easy experience. Allen the doorman was especially helpful to us. You also cannot get a better location, whether you're going to see the Cards, partying for Mardi Gras, heading to a Blues game, or just enjoying the downtown region.

Was NOT a fan of the line that forms for Bar 360 and how it impedes you from getting to your room. That's a pain. And could the elevators be any smaller? They pack you in like sardines when you're going up or down. We had one woman about ready to have an anxiety attack on our way to our room one night.

Also, why don't the rooms have a tiny fridge? For as fancy as the place is, you'd think they'd be able to install a tiny fridge in each room. They have a restaurant upstairs, they have room service, but who wants to get food that you can't bring back to your room? Just a thought.

Joey Chrisman greeted my friends and I when we got to the hotel! He was so nice and wanted to give us the best experience he could! We asked for extra towels and they were at our room before we could even get there! Needless to say we had a great time!
