The draw for The Tivoli in fhe Delmar Loop is its uniqueness. In the spirit of the first golden age of movies, The Tivoli is superbly decorated and maintained. Home to three screens, this theater specializes in limited-run movies, independent film, and special events. It's also one of the official locations for the annual St. Louis Interational Film Festival.
The interior is loaded with collages of movie postrs throughout the decades, whih is a fun trip through the history of cinema. Get there early so you can get a good seat, but take some time to look around.
The concessions include coffee & tea, locally sourced items like Schlafly beer and Ted Drewes' frozen custard, and the popcorn isn't loaded with horrible chemicals. The prices are respectable, too, so you won't break the bank.
The theaters have been upgraded to crystal clear digital projection, and the sound is phenomenal. The seats are comfortable, although they sit an inch or two lower than what you'd expect. Still, I've never had a bad experience at The Tivoli. This is one of my favorite places in St. Louis to watch movies.
