“A gem in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This park is huge! There is so much to do here---ride bikes, walk, roller blade---or go to the world class zoo, art museum, history museum, Boathouse restaurant, Jewel Box, ice skating rink in the winter, Art hill sledding when it snows, tennis courts when it's nice, paddle boating in the lake, playing baseball in the summer, or just hanging out and having a pic nic or family reunion. You'll see lots of wedding parties getting pictures taken here on nice days.

“The Central Park of St Louis!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

I cannot say enough about Forest Park. As a runner, I love the dedicated 6+mille long dedicated trail for biker/runner/walker. It is pet friendly (of course as long as you pick up after your pet). Several small pond/lakes makes it wonderful for families who like to fish in the summer. Picnic areas abound. But if you want to go to restaurants, the nearby Central West End is a stone throw away. Just lovely!!!

“Cold December Day”

I went to the History museum and enjoyed the exhibit of its history as part of the Lewis & Clark Centennial in the early 1900's.

“Huge park in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Forest Park is about 50% larger than Central Park in New York and contains museums, the famous zoo, statuary, lakes. The place is magnificent and located just across the street from the Barnes medical complex.

“Beautiful park setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Forest Park is definitely worth a stop on your trip to the city. The lawns are well cared for and the views are sweeping as well as breath-taking. The fountains provided some much needed relief from the heat, too much from some of the youngsters there as they used them as swimming pools.
