“Good, not great.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

A famous local hangout, Ted Drewes is a cool place. Very busy every time I've visited--on the recommendation of a St Louis friend.

Variety menu, quick service, and a reasonable price. Good, but not great.

“Awesome treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Ted Drewe's is an institution in St. Louis known for their frozen custard. They have so many flavors it can be hard to make a decision. In addition to custard/concrete they have many other items on their menu to choose from, shakes, sundaes etc. It's a must when visiting St. Louis, especially on a hot summer day. Be prepared for very long lines but the lines move very very quickly. Enjoy!

“Must have in STL.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Loved this custard place! They were friendly, clean and fast. There was a hug crow in front of the building but from the end of the line to custard in my hand was less than 10 minutes. There is lots of choices to choose from and lots of famous people have been there. I got a concrete with cookie dough and my husband got a Sunday. They were perfect!

“Atmos to the max”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

After far too big a dinner in a famous local Italian restaurant, our St. Louis foodie friend took us to Ted Drewes for frozen custard. A summery September night found the place packed with walk-up business, yet there were so many service lines that there was practically no wait. The location (on historic Route 66) was spacious and friendly. As we ate, a guy with a guitar and harmonica stood nearby and just sang songs to the patrons for the fun of it. The custard was fine - not extreme or extraordinary - but the toppings are so generous and tasty you will find the experience grand. Recommended for families- prices aren't bad and there is enough space for sitters, runner-arounders and stand-around-and-chatters. A great summer-night tradition for local families.

“It tasted like any other ice cream stand.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We tried this place twice. It was a nice treat on a hot day but there was nothing outstanding about it. It tasted like any other ice cream stand. The only thing that I was impressed with was that they will give you some dry ice to take some home (to go) if you want it for later or want to bring a treat to someone who isn't with you. The parking lot isn't quite large enough. There isn't enough "seating" outside either.
