First time in St. Louis Mo. and my friend takes me to the neighborhood called "The Hill" to Mama Campisi's restaurant! Loved the atmosphere, loved the food! First we had a "stuffed loaf" which is a loaf of french bread opened and stuffed with garlic, spinach and cheese and broiled. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Then we tried the toasted ravioli with a terrific marinara and on to Pasta Primavera for me and Manicotti for my friend! Our waiter was Loren a beautiful young lady who treated us like family. The wine was good and with Dean and Frank singing in the background I thought I was on a movie set! A couple of hours later we waddled out into the street with waves of goodbye and come back from the staff! IF I ever get back to St. Louis you can bet that Mama Campisi's will be on my "must visit" list!
