Crown Candy may not be in the nicest part of St. Louis (go in the daytime), but the food is great, and the milkshakes are huge. Bring your appetite, and get ready to sample the best sweets the Midwest has to offer. Everything is made in-house and your tastebuds will know it. Have some mint non-pareils for me.
Step in to Crown Candy Kitchen and you think you went back 30 to 40 years back. The ambience inside is wonderful but the sundaes are even more delightful.
This is an adorable little place with good food and fun candy,,,but most of all great shakes! It gets crowded but the tables move quickly.
Their sandwiches and chili are quite good, but most people go there for the superb ice cream sundaes and great malts and milk shakes which are served with the metal mixing cups. Servers can remember your order without writing it down. They also make their own chocolate candy, which is quite popular on Valentine's Day, Easter, and Mother's Day.
Had to wait about an hour to eat at Crown Candy. So good. I still need to take my husband. I ordered the BLT and it was really good - heart attack on a plate, but good. I also got the butterscotch malt and still remember it like it was yesterday. I recommend for everyone to try this place.
