I will start my review from the beginning and that is to say that this hotel is super easy to find. As you come off the Eads Bridge it is directly on your right. Check in was a breeze and the gentlemen I dealt with was top notch and very courteous. We proceeded up to our parking spot on level 4 of the parking garage on site which is one of the reasons why I selected this Hampton Inn. You had to use your room key to access the parking garage door so that made my wife feel alot better about security since we had a 5 year old with us. We parked and got on the elevator to go to our floor and once again we had to use our room key to access any of the living floors(5-17), once again my wife REALLY liked that security feature. We made it to our room and I had reserved a room with 2 queens and an arch view and that is exactly what we got. Any time we looked out the window day or night we seen the arch which we all really enjoyed. It isn't that often that you get to wake up in the morning and open your shades and the first thing you see is the St. Louis Arch. We made it to the pool after a night out on the town and it was absolutely wonderful the view from the pool room(on the 5th floor) is you guessed it the Arch!! The hot tub was just the right temperature and the pool was inviting to all, the Hampton also had a small chest beside the pool with toys and floats for the younger children, and I couldn't help but notice that on every chair in the pool room someone had taken the time to put a towel on each chair. The game room and workout room are directly beside the pool room and we took advantage of the game room each night and my son loved the air hockey table. The workout room was clean and every piece of equipment was in working order which is amazing in an of itself. The first afternoon when I was looking around the hotel I went and looked at the workout room and there was a gentlemen cleaning the foot pedals on the elliptical, I thought wow that is awesome. The breakfast in the morning was just as grand, each morning there was scrambled eggs, a type of meat(bacon, sausage, ham) and then a specialty item(french toast sticks, english muffin with cheese & sausage on top, and two others that are slipping my mind). They also had fruit, danishes, yogurt, bagels, toast, english muffins, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and make your own waffles. I was very full every morning and felt as if I got my money's worth. The hotel was clean in every single part we went to, my wife even made the comment that it smelled clean. The first night I went down to the lobby to get some coffee and they had a flavor called "Robust". I tried it and loved it so much that I asked the front desk clerk what brand makes it, he said he didn't know but would check on it and let me know. I think it was the next morning I went down stairs to get another cup and the gentlemen had a bag for me free of charge, how's that for service!!!! This hotel also has a very nice Irish Pub connected to it so you wouldn't even have to go outside the hotel for food. The prices range from $9 for a sandwich and "chips" to $15 for an entree. From 4p-7p they have a pick 3 for $10 which helps keep the bill down if money is a concern. I just can't say enough about this hotel and how wonderful it was to stay in a place that actually seemed to care about you. Everytime I meet an employee they would greet me with a smile and "Hi or How are you doing, or what can I do for you?". They even made fresh cookies each night and put them in the lobby for anyone to take and eat(they were GOOD!!) My son loved to go downstairs and get a hot chocolate and cookie before bed each night. Internet was easy and quick to get logged into in our room, water was hot when we wanted it to be hot, and the maid service did an outstanding job of only doing the cleaning we requested each day. The one maid even took my sons stuffed animal and made a bed for him out of my son's blanket while we were gone which I thought was very nice. OUTSTANDING HOTEL AND EMPLOYEES TOP NOTCH WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WILL BE RETURNING!!!!!!!!!
