“No Menu and All Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

It was our first time for a No Menu Monday, but it won't be our last! Laura took great care of us and led us through the No Menu questions (be specific!). We added the wine pairing with our 3 course meal. Be ready to enjoy uniquely prepared dishes, generous portions and all delicious! We hope to have another adventure with the magic genie chef as soon as possible!!

“A Treasure in the Heart of Maplewood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

This was our first time at Home Wine Kitchen, but we'll be back... for dinner as well as brunch, which we thoroughly enjoyed this past Sunday. The place is welcoming... both decor and people. We had reservations, which they honored after a brief wait: the place was busy. I felt as though I could've been in Greenwich Village or Chicago's Near North side. A very "groovy" feel to the place. The meal was outstanding. I had their pancakes, recently added to the menu, side of bacon. My wife had a hamburger... but not just a hamburger. Made with wonderful ingredients, topped with cheese, bacon, a sauce. Side of delicious potatoes. Good coffee. Great conversation. Congratulations to the boss who put this all together and keeps it top notch.

“Stellar performance most of the time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2014

I've been there twice for lunch in the past two weeks. Both times the food was outstanding. The mushrooms with polenta were extremely tasty and filling, even though the portion size looks small at first glance. The broccoli with cheese soup special, with the rosemary focaccia that is a daily staple, is superb--creamy and very flavorful soup, and aromatic wonderful hot fresh bread. Had the pork loin sandwich the second time, with the roasted red pepper and raw spinach, with tasty remoulade maybe with a hint of horseradish and definitely a bit of kick. Not a combination I would consider at home. The homemade chips served alongside the sandwich are peppery and wonderful.

“Very pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

We dropped in for lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon. It was a little concerning that the place was completely empty, but we had one of the best meals we've ever had. The kale salad was amazing and the trout was prepared perfectly. We will definitely be back.

“No Menu Mondays are Perfect Date Nights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Took husband to a No Menu Monday for his birthday and they didn’t disappoint. For the Prix Fix - food was delicious and different from the ordinary. Know what you might like to like to eat, beforehand (if you had a fairy food Chef on your shoulder) because on Mondays they create a 3 course meal dish based on your likes and recommendations. We enjoyed the evening, and it’s quite an intimate place to have a date night.
