GREAT location is you are catching a cards game; you couldn't be any closer to the ball park. Although I'm a Marriott rewards member, I went with the Westin because of it's location and better price. However, watch out for the nickel and dime charges that will add up; including WIFI. I have also had better experiences with the front desk staff at hotels. Although we didn't utilize the valet parking, our original bill had the cost of valet parking when we ended up self parking across the street. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, they made the changes but were not very accommodating in doing so; I had to really push the issue. I would recommend the Westin if you are in town for a game or want to be within walking distance of local attractions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the ballpark!

The Westin was a very average experience. I saw this listed hotel listed on various websites at a price that was well above average for similar hotels in the area, so when I found a last minute deal that was “average”, I was extremely excited. The location was awesome- right next to the stadium and Ballpark Village! The view from our room was amazing-- Bush Stadium is a great view for any die hard Cards Fan! The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean, but definitely would not call this 4 star, by any means. The room was very small, boring décor, and the bed was basic. The AC was not cold and for those that are not CARDS fans, you may not like the noise after we win another game. I do not have any real complaints- I just did not have a “WOW” experience.

Very nice hotel in the heart of downtown St. Louis.
Rooms are outstanding, service was great, prices are insane!
Nickle and dime you for everything from wifi to parking.
Not sure why a high end place like this feels the need to try to take every penny possible when their rates are plenty high to cover wifi!

The Westin St. Louis is not only across the street from Busch Stadium, it is an
excpetionally rewarding place to stay. Rooms are spacious and well appointed.
The lounge is cozy and the adjacent restaurant is excellent for dinner.

Room Tip: There is a premium for a king bed facing the ball park. We've staryed there but also with stand...

We got a deal for this hotel that made it worth staying. This hotel for the normal price they charge though is pretty average for the price. Room was clean, bed was clean, Shower drain was slow so if you take longer showers or washing multiple children they were standing in water by the time the shower was done. Told the staff at the end of the trip and they said they would take care of it. The building and all the amenities were nice but again for the normal price they charge I would expect them to be. They charged for bottled water in the rooms where other usually have 2 or 3 bottles at no charge. Parking was 20 a night but you could go in and out which was worth it to us. City transit was right next to the hotel and the hotel is right next to the ball park. All in all they are in a great location and you pay for that location. I think there is enough cheap parking around that we would probably stay somewhere else that had more benefits and just pay for the parking. Also breakfast at their attached restaurant was 18.99 for buffet 7 something for kids. Wifi was 14.95 a night and the "free" lobby Wifi worked horribly.

Green Features: They offered if you did not option to clean your room they made a donation to a charity. I don't remember the name but thought it was a great idea.

Dear Tttommytuna,
Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experience at the Westin St. Louis. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed the cleanliness of your room, our Heavenly Bed and location of the hotel. Our in and out privileges for parking make for a nice amenity as well. I must apologize about the slow drain in the shower. We make every attempt to perform preventative maintenance in all areas of our property and I am sorry this was overlooked. We just recently upgraded our internet speeds so I will certainly follow up with our technology department to make sure all WIFI connections are working properly. Thank you again for your comments and please keep us in mind should your travels bring you back to St. Louis.

Be Well,
Jessica O.

Great room & location. Comfortable, clean, and spacious. You can almost touch Busch Stadium (St Louis Cardinals). Good view of St Louis Arch. It was next to a subway station. Self-parking was $20. About a 20 min walk to the St Louis Arch.

Room Tip: East side rooms have a view of St Louis Arch and Busch Stadium

If you're planning to catch a game or mill about the city, the location is convenient. You can take the Metrolink from STL for cheap, and it comes up right beside the hotel. The neighborhood isn't too bad for walking around, although one should always be observant of the surroundings regardless of the city.

The hotel itself is nicely appointed. I was in room 460, which seems like it was as far from the front door as possible. I don't mind, but it is a long way to walk for anyone who might have difficulties. The bathroom, typical of Westin, was wonderfully large. The hotel was helpful in procuring taxis and with any questions I had about the area. It was a good experience, and one to be expected of the Westin family of hotels.

Room Tip: Get closer to the elevator if you don't want to walk a long way
