“Something New Everytime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Went and saw the exhibit on the history of St Louis and thought it was very impressive. I grew up in the metro and had a lot of history shared with me from my parents and grandparents dating back to the late 1800s, but I still learned about many places, people and events I was not aware of. In addition, the museum has many other exhibits that are also equally informative. You can spend a couple hours or all day and still not see everything.

“St. Patty's Day Irish Dancers and more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

My best friend and her son met my daughter and I to start our Spring Break weekend in St. Louis at the Missouri History Museum for the Irish Dancers and Music event to honor St. Patrick's day. This was AWESOME! There was a Classical Music and Arts school that had setup an event with students to entertain and share the art of Irish dance and music with the patrons of the Museum that day. It was a wonderful experience for the kids, and adults! The program was in an area that was located directly below The Spirit of St. Louis plan of Charles Lindbergh. The kids thought this was pretty cool! After we enjoyed the dance and music, we wondered through the exhibits in the museum and it was very interesting. This is a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this for families.

“STL 250 Exhibit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Just recently my dad, brother, and brother-in-law, and I took in this exhibit. Which by the way is a free exhibit that will be running all this year, this year Saint Louis is 250 years old. When you first enter the exhibit on your left you will find a video presentation (250 years in 250 seconds). the next part of the exhibit is 50 Saint Louis people. 50 SAINT LOUIS events, 50 images, 50 places, 50 items. To go through this exhibit you want to have some time, it took us about 2 hours to go through just this exhibit. When you enter the museum be sure to look up and you will see "The Spirit of Saint Louis" airplane. I noticed that near the end of April another new exhibit will be coming this one is on The "Prohibition Era in Saint Louis". When you come to visit Saint Louis take in this wonderful museum and learn more about the city that is the "Gateway to the West."

“Just okay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

As museums go, this one is just okay. If you want to learn about St. Louis, this is the place to go. If you live in St. Louis, you should spend at least one afternoon there learning about your city. They have two exhibit halls that rotate exhibits from around the world on regular basis. These are very hit and miss. Many of their exhibits put interactive displays out instead of artifacts. This is great for kids, but I go to museums primarily to look at cool old stuff. Every once in awhile they will have one with cool old stuff, but not often. Definitely not on par with Chicago or Washington D.C. as museums go.

“Smaller than I Expected but Still Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

Stopped in here today for about 90 minutes. The display for the 250th anniversary of Saint Louis is outstanding, as was the World Fair exhibition. Beautiful building, free, and very interesting, informational, and educational. Would recommend and will definitely return.
