“Great place to have breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2011

I ate breakfast here early Saturday morning and everything was top-notch. Delicious. They have a big menu along with a glass case full of goodies They also serve lunch and have a gelato bar! There is something for everyone. I lucked out and ordered the best pancakes that I've ever had along with lemon curd and berries. The coffee was great too. The location is open and spacious and they also have outside seating which I think would be great during the summer.

“Outstanding food and Perfect ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2011

The concierge at Ritz-Carlton sent us here and it was just magnificent. I loved the atmosphere of the entire restaurant, not a bad seat in the house! Beautiful, sophisiticated, yet welcoming feel.

We sampled the shrimp and grits (they are famous for this) and could see why it gets rave reviews. Our entrees were incredible (wienerschnitzel and thai salmon). Everything tasted so fresh and was not overly "fused" or seasoned. Leave room for dessert. We had the salted caramel with freshly-made peanut brittle and a rhubarb compote (can't remember what it was called, but sure remember how great it tasted).

“Great food - terrible service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2010

We ate here on a Sunday for lunch. We all really enjoyed our food but the service was awful. The cashier was rude when we were ordering and it took forever for our food to come out. I would eat here again because the food was fantastic, but don't expect good customer service.

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2010

My wife and I ate at Scape and had one of the best restaurant experiences in a while. It has an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere. There is a busy and modestly loud atmosphere here, but it's not a party or bar atmosphere at all - my sense was that everyone was just having a great time socializing over excellent food. This place would be fitting for a romantic dinner or a large group. The food was amazing. The black and blue mussels as an appetizer was incredible, and the steak was superb. I highly recommend saving room for desert too - all house made. Service was impeccable, wines were delicious, and the chef came around at the end of the night to check up on everything. If it's nice sit outside, and if it's warm try to get a seat where you can watch the fountain out front. We were pleased that our bill wasn't outrageous, particularly given the quality of the food and the service. It was about $160 for two people, and we each had multiple drinks, appetizers, salads, main courses and deserts. One thing that's not mentioned much in the advertising and should be, is that the chefs pride themselves on using fresh, organic, and local ingredients. It pays off because the food is absolutely delicious!

We've eaten at Crepes Etc too. In addition to great crepes and Illy coffee, there's a superb "Commuter Sandwich" with egg, cheddar, avocado, tomato, and mayonnaise. All fresh local ingredients make this combination to die for!
