“Wish we could've been accommodated ”

We are three girls who travel for business. We were here from houston and just finished shooting an 8 hr wedding in effingham, IL. We drove back to st.louis for the night to be close to the airport. We booked a room at the magnolia based on the great service and experience we have received at the houston location. Upon arrival we were given a room with 1 King size bed. When we went downstairs to speak with Stuart the night time manager he would not accommodate our request for a room with two beds. Instead he said we would need to pay an additional $70 to be moved to a room with two beds. This was extremely frustrating to us as we were very tired and ready to just get a good nights rest and did not expect to have to pay this amount in additional fees. So after begging and pleading which did not work we paid the additional amount and upgraded the room. We were then given new keys. Once we arrived at the new room we were still in a room with one king size bed. Stuart did meet us in the floor and gave us new keys (again) after realizing this mistake. Unfortunately this entire experience with The Magnolia in St. Louis was not a good one. I would normally recommend this hotel in Houston but because of the confusion and the manager not accommodating our needs this night I will definitely go with another hotel next time. Being that I am a business owner I know that the most important thing is to try and accommodate your clients in every way possible. Lesson learned.

I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond Member. I never deviate from Hilton branded hotels. In this case, I'm moving my family across the country and needed a dog friendly hotel. The Magnolia Hotel came up and I booked a room with no additional charge for Winston, my yorkiepoo. This boutique type hotel surpassed my expectation. The lobby and bar is elegant, the rooms modern, and the staff is very friendly! For the price and location this absolutely can't be beat. I will seek this branded hotel out in the future.

To you, your family and Winston, you've completely made our year! A diamond member giving up points for his dog is not only AWESOME, but we're so honored it was for us. So, tell Winston thank you and we will welcome you back at any of our locations. Looks like you live in Omaha, so hopefully you know we have a Magnolia there. We also have them in Dallas, Denver and Houston.

Recently stayed at the Magnolia for 2 nights. It was fantastic! Loved the fun happy hour, the breakfast and the evening cookie bar. The hotel decor was also nice, and the bed was super comfy. We had a one bedroom suite. My only comment would be that it would have been nice if the french doors from the bedroom into the sitting room would have had curtains. It'd be nice to have a little more privacy between the two spaces. Other than that, the room was great. Very big and nicely arranged. All in all, would definitely stay there again! Very convenient to the America's Center (where my daughter's gymnastics meet was).

I was there alone with a business meeting. While the hotel was cold - especially the first floor - I'll have to compliment them on the beautiful renovation. My room was great (and had plenty of heat).
The food service for the meetings was creative and very good although the meat(s) tended to dry out. Service staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I'd stay again.

Well, I have to admit, you've reached the top of our charts for reviews. For one, you are from Omaha. We have another Magnolia there in downtown as well. (Be sure to visit that one too). Second, your detail on your visit is terrific. Sorry about the cold in the lobby though, we'll be sure to check on why that's happening. Must be that chilly wind coming off the river.
Thanks also for the note about the staff. While we love the renovation like no other, it's our five-star staff that we care the most about. We'll be sure to share your words.
Travel safe and come visit any of our hotels again soon.

This hotel worked out great. The service was excellent and the rooms were very nice. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and the happy hour. The only negatives would be no microwave or fridge in any of the rooms.

Reasonably nice boutique hotel created from renovated traditional 1920's hotel. Nice physical plant and a good value. However, the temperature outside is about 10, and the temperature inside throughout the public areas is in the 50s and 60s. Our business meeting is unproductive and nearly ruined as a result. Buildings in this climate should be able to handle this temperature. Just cannot recommend a cold season visit.

My husband and I chose this hotel because of the deal of $89.00 per night by booking thru Hotels.com., plus this hotel was located downtown and close to nightclubs,dining, and sightseeing....OMG the room which was a suite(double King) was just fantastic! It was extremely roomy and the beds were comfortable. Plus if you look on their website they have , a happy hour each night for wine and beer(select ) and then later in the evening they have free cookies..Yum Yum...... And not to mention complimentary continental breakfast....We would recommend this hotel
