“Amazing Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

We loved this hotel. It is incredibly beautiful. The staff, especially those at the front desk, were completely friendly and willing to bend over backwards to help guests with anything they needed. The king sized bed suite is huge and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is like a bedroom size of its own. With a evening cocktail hour, late night cookie buffet, and a continental breakfast, the hotel has every possible ammenity. I would stay here and only here the next time I attend the Joyce Meyer Ministries Women's Conference in Saint Louis. I can't think of a single negative. I could even walk the two blocks to the Edwards Jones Dome where my conference was held.

We are staying there for 2 nights. So far, we're 1 night in. All of the personnel are exceptional - the valet service is superb. Based on the website and reviews, we were expecting much more. The hotel itself looks like it should be grand. It seems they are advertising a somewhat upscale experience, but there is nothing upscale about our experience thus far - the décor, although somewhat decent not really upscale-ish. Simple. Really pissed that the website is highly misleading regarding the overall nature of the hotel, including amenities. The elevators are super small. The room is pretty spacious. The bed is super comfy. Unfortunately, there is no microwave or fridge, which is the total opposite of a true suite experience. Days Inn or Motel 6 will at least offer those in their crappy rooms. The bathrooms are mediocre, definitely not a 'wow' or 'oh that's nice!' It took about 10 mins or more of the shower running before we had hot water. You can hear every flush and any water usage of your neighbor through the pipes in the walls. Our toilet was loud and leaky, but they fixed it right away. The drink reception or 'happy hour' as they call it is undesirable - it's literally only an hour. The bartenders and severs provide good service. FYI - only a 2 drink max of either a horrible house wine or cheap beer during the hour. During the complimentary breakfast, the only hot items were the oatmeal, coffee, and whatever you put in the toaster. But it was still good nonetheless with tasty pastries and fruit. Location is great, downtown beside theRenaissance Grand. Overall, it's okay but factor in the price and "amenities", definitely not a good value. It's great that they're new and still under construction, that way they can step up their game and actually be a real competitor with their tried and true neighbors. The hotel has amazing potential, just wish they would get there a bit sooner.

Thanks for your very honest review of the hotel. While we hope for better, we understand we always have room for improvement. Quickly, you are right about a few things we have left to finish and the team is working very hard to get there. We have also listened to others about breakfast and are getting ready to add hot items very soon. As for the plumbing (and since it is and old building), we were having some problems with it. We are confident we've found the resolution to it and it'll be behind us. Our staff is great, so thanks a bunch for noticing and mentioning it.

We totally agree about the potential and the location. To be very honest, we have a few minor things to spruce up quickly and once we do, we'll be top notch. Hope you do come back and visit soon. We'll make things perfect.

We stayed one night, arriving after the complimentary wine hour. From the valet, to the bellman, to the front desk, to the bartender, to the waitress...kudos for your friendliness, helpfulness, and professional manner! The lounge and restaurant were very good. Nice selection of wines to go with our late meal. The room was cozy and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights while attending a wedding in St. Louis. The entire experience was awesome from before we even checked in to the morning we checked out. The hotel is beautiful, they have done a really great job adding modern touches while preserving the historic nature of the building like the stained glass windows. The room was good for the price, the bed was extremely comfortable!

What really made the hotel stand out to me was all of the little extra touches and the friendly staff. There is a complimentary wine and beer reception with great bartenders who helped us pick a restaurant for dinner. There is a car service that will take you within 5 miles of the hotel, which was a total life saver for since I didn't know anything about the city and where things are located. The driver was fun and very friendly and always prompt when we requested a ride, we only had to take a cab once during the whole trip (thanks Kevin!!).

It is obvious that customer service is a high priority for the staff and management of this hotel, and it was greatly appreciated as an out of town guest to have so many friendly people help make the trip so pleasant. If I ever return to St. Louis I will stay here for sure!

Almost forgot the cookies they have before bedtime, or in our case before a night on the town are amazing :)

Wow, if you ever need a job, we'd love to hire you as our PR person. Your review is almost a better description of our hotel than our own web site. It is so much fun for our staff to read about their gracious service - we'll be certain to pass it along to them. And we'll pay special mention to our ever-awesome Kevin!!!
Thanks again for making us feel so good about ourselves! We think you are pretty awesome as well! Hope you've recovered from the big wedding. Come back for the next one, or any excuse you can make to visit us...
All our best.

I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel in St. Louis overnight on a business trip. The hotel sounded wonderful on the website. I was in a queen bed suite that had a bedroom and separate sitting area. The room, itself, was large and spacious but I was sorely disappointed by the bathroom. During the renovation, the bathtub had apparently been re-enameled, but it was already peeling and showing rust. I would not recommend the hotel for clients.

We know how important the bathroom is and our engineering staff is headed up to check out that room. We'll get it fixed and we'll get it up to snuff quickly. We are glad you enjoyed the comfort of the queen suite. Very sorry about the issues you had and we hope you give us another shot.
Thanks for the honest feedback.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights for a recent business trip. The man that checked us in was so friendly. He told us all about the hotel and definitely mentioned that the Tesla was available to shuttle us within a certain radius of the hotel (I think it was five miles). He explained that the hotel was under construction and if we encountered any problems, to let him know. The rooms are beautiful. Very spacious, lots of outlets. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I would say that it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Loved it. The bar area is very spacious and the two women who were bartending while I stayed there were so friendly. Had dinner at the hotel one night, food was spectacular. Ate lunch there twice, soup was excellent. Loved that the bartenders even gave us some local restaurant recommendations even though they served food in the hotel. The wifi in the guest rooms worked great, never lost my connection. We were in the bar one night when they were setting up for photos for the hotel website. The Sales Manager gave us the desserts and champagne that they used for the shoot. Very nice, very friendly guy. The food and drinks in the restaurant are reasonably priced. You get two free glasses of wine each night between 5:30 and 6:30. It's a great place to unwind. Televisions in the room are nice, large variety of channels. There is a free continental breakfast in the morning. Fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and various pastries and breads to toast. Very nice. Coffee was pretty good as well.

If I had any complaints, it would be that we kept losing our internet connection in the conference room. There were also some problems with the hot water in some of the rooms (not mine). The conference room chairs are not the most comfortable and the room is configured a strangely. The ladies room on the 2nd floor is in a very dark corridor. This is also the corridor where you print your boarding passes. It is so dark that you literally can not see to type on the computer. Also the printer was not working.

I would stay there again. The friendliness of the staff goes a long way. And the beds were so comfortable. I plan on calling to find out what type of mattress and pillows were used. They were just the best.

I ranked it low in cleanliness only because parts of the hotel are still under construction.

I thought a little champagne and dessert would go a long way, but didn't think it would go this far!! You are outstanding and we thank you for the glowing review. (ps:- it was me who gave you the champagne, so I'm going to pat myself on the back a little later today...) Thanks for being a part of our photo shoot. Yes, we have a few things we're polishing up and fixing, but hearing from you about our incredible staff makes it all worthwhile. We'll also figure out what is going on with the dropped Internet in the meeting rooms - that's not good and we'll get it straightened out ASAP.
Thanks again to you and your entire group for giving our new hotel a try. We hope you come back soon! (Call us about the beds, we'll secretly tell you where we bought 'em)

The hotel have a very nice atmosphere. Rooms were great and the food tops a 4 star. I eat steak all over the world and this one was running in the same race as any 5 star. Only reason for 4 star as the hotel was still under construction. The Staff and manager were absolutely impeccable. I will stay at Magnolia again that's for sure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view as the buildings downtown are close.
