“Don't get a room next to a dog!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We've stayed here before and it's our hotel of choice when downtown St. Louis. We were there for 2 nights on Labor Day weekend. Check in on Friday and checked out on Sunday. Had a great experience with all the staff from check in, to housekeeping, to management everyone is friendly. Only issue we had this time was when we returned to our room on Saturday afternoon we had to put up with a dog barking in the room next to us. I called the front desk and asked if they allowed dogs in the hotel and the answer was "yes" which really surprised me. I then talked to a manager to complain and he quickly offered to move us to a suite (city view) which we accepted. We learned later that dogs are suppose to be on the 5th floor, I believe. We were on the 9th floor originally, so the couple with the dog had obviously checked in without telling the hotel they had a dog with them. So when checking in, make sure to ask if there are any dogs in rooms next to you. Although this dog you could hear all the way down the hall.

Room Tip: Avoid the 5th floor unless you want to room with dogs! Although we were originally on the 9th floor...

This hotel was clean and the staff was super friendly. The location is great, too - close to the ballpark and restaurants. The view of the Arch from my room didn't hurt, either! Although downtown St. Louis isn't a bustling metro, this hotel was great for a work conference for a few days.

Stayed 2 nights here for business conference and was impressed with rooms. Very clean. Rates vary considerably, but when not busy very affordable. Next to the Arch and close to sports venues. Only 4 blocks to the MetroLink so only $3-4 to get to from airport if use that method of transport.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that views on the Arch!

Green Features: I do not know what the Hyatt's environmentally-friendly practices are. They do encourage no room service daily if you desire by using the do not disturb sign on your outside doorknob.

We stayed here back in August when the Brewers were in town to play the Cardinals. When we pulled up it was packed with people leaving and checking in. The valet took our car right away and Monique checked us in. Check in was fast, pleasant and simple. There were two weddings at this hotel so it was busy, but everyone was super nice. Our room was on the 10th floor overlooking the city. It was a great view of the stadium. They have awesome flavored water in the lobby as well. We will definitely stay here when we return for more baseball:)

Very spacious gym. One of the largest hotel gyms I've seen.
*No Pool
*Mirrors in stretch/an area and free weights

Gym:
1. Cardio Machines: 5 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 3 bikes
2. Weights: Free weights. Several machines for legs, arms, chest, and back
3. Extra Equipment: Bosu balls (half and full), medicine balls, kettle bells, and 2 adjustable chairs

Room: Smelled smokey upon entrance and my room was a non smoking room. They brought a deodorizer to neutralize it

Overall I wouldn't recommend. The gym is great however you need to feel comfortable as can be while away from home as traveling can be stressful.

We have stayed at the Regency several times over the past few years, and each was a great experience. The last time we stayed was for my son's birthday get-a-way. They had a cupcake and candle up to our room within an hour of our arrival after finding out. Room service was fabulous and considerate. We also love Brew House. If I had to pick something to pick on, it would be their lack of a pool. I also think they used to have self parking on site, which was not an option when we were there last. Those are really my only "complaints".

If you are mobility challenged, ask for a room closer to the elevators because the hallways are quite long. We like the corner river view rooms, though. We stayed this past trip in a room that faced the capital....it was just as nice. Can't beat a walk-in closet!

I cant say enough good things about the hotel, really. They've never disappointed.

I loved the hotel, but had a very awkward experience at the entrance to check in. There is a sign that says "Road closed" Open to Hyatt" that is so big you cannot see the valet and place to pull in to check in. It would be nice if there was a sign that said "Valet/check in " and an arrow. I got out of the car and was verbally assaulted by someone who was angry that I was "blocking the road" and some other choice words. He screamed from his car as he took the one way short road and then he stopped his car and yelled to the hotel staff in a nice voice, asking for directions. There was hardly any traffic, and the road was partially closed. Dont get out of your car until you pull in the valet parking -it is behind the sign turn left. I was scared to leave the hotel after that!
After that the hotel was nice, comfortable, awesome staff that was helpful. Nice restaruants and Starbucks downstairs. We were up on the 17th floor/not the arch side. At night I heard sirens a bit, but not much. We had purchsed a sports package and were given awesome tickets on the visitor side as requested. This hotel is close to Busch Stadium. Overall, I would visit there again.
Internet was an additional $9.95 charge, We thought that should have been included.

Room Tip: Had to use a wire to connect, and pay $9.95
