“A great place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

We enjoyed the Missouri Botaniocal Gardens so much that we have become members. We enjoy taking our grandkids to play at the playground and to visit the annual train display. The flowers and plants are amazing to see. The special events are always special. We should have joined years earlier. They have a place to have lunch, which is great when you have grandkids with you and they want to stay awhile to play. The playground is always a hit with the grandkids. Can't say enough good things about the Missouri Botanical Gardens.

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Beautiful. I went to the Garden Glow on a wonderful 50 degree Sunday. It was so pretty I got overjoyed. This is how you get in the holiday spirit in STL. I loved it. Get there early. I got there @ an hour early. It was a crowd of 2500 (sold out).

“Christmas Garden Glow Shines!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

The Garden Glow at Shaw's Garden is their first time to illuminate the garden for Christmas. It is absolutely gorgeous! We've driven and walked through a lot of light displays in the area and this one is by far the most elegant and tasteful. Each area is uniquely lit, so you feel like you're experiencing a variety of feelings--not just one angel or Santa Claus lit up. There are snacks to purchase--s'mores/firepits, wine, caramel cord, etc. to buy along the route. There's also a Wishing Tree with ornaments you can buy to hang or to take home. It took us about an hour to walk through, and you can repeat the walk if you want. Henry Shaw's home is also open and decorated. We had a wonderful time (we were lucky it was a fairly warm evening) and would definitely go again next year.

“Delightful place to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

We always enjoy a trip here. However, the last time we visited, it was extremely humid that day and our preschooler melted, even with a delightful treehouse exhibit.

“A hidden gem in St. Louis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

The Gardens are exceptional, small fee for non residents, and you could go once a month and still find a hidden garden that you didn't know was there!
