This is the most unique museum you will ever visit. Outdoors there is a playground to climb on made of airplane fuselages and tunnels crafted from every material imaginable. Inside, there are enchanted caves with secret passages to explore. In art city you can create your own masterpieces. There is a skateless skate park and much much more! This museum is great fun for everyone.

My husband and I spent a weekend exploring St Louis and City Museum was on our list! We went on a Saturday. I recommend going right when they open @ 9. It gets crowded fast. Wear tennis shoes and pants! You will regret it. I overheard others saying they wished they would have worn them. If you have kids- you could spend hours losing them and finding them again! If you're adults going- some of the places are hard to get into but going purely for the story of the museum and being a kid again is worth it. Pay extra for the roof!!!!!

If you are between the ages of 5-50 you should go explore this place. My extended family went. Our youngest was 8, then 9, 11, 14, 15, 15, 18, 19, 40, 44, 46, 48 and the oldest was my mother at 74. She did a few things but the rest of us had a blast. It is so cool! We were so happy we went. We do a family trip annually and we have ventured to the Arch, the Zoo, the botanical gardens, the science museum. But this is hands down the best. We spent 4 hours. We all had flip flops on because those were the only shoes we had, but you would be much better off in shoes. Also, when we go again, I am bringing knee pads.

If you are a parent who is a worrier, i would skip it until the kids are older, they do disappear in dark places, dark holes and such. I loved following the kids most places, but i really haven't grown up yet. But my knees did not like it!

Anyone that says anything bad about the city museum is lame and doesn't know how to have fun. It is fun for all ages unless you are fat and lazy, and have no sense of adventure.
