Owner description: Don’t take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space.

“Truly unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Never seen anything like this place. An old warehouse gutted and things that were once used for industry or factory purposes set up to be played on or looked at. So very cool. It's filled with all the kinds of things you would have loved to do as a kid. Very hard to describe but really neat. For example, a long tube goes down several floors, previously was used as a shute to send shoes down it, I think. Now it's a curly-cue slide! You get to slide down and say "were" all the way. Things to climb on or play with or look at. Multiple floors jam packed with stuff. Can spend a day there easy. Adults and kids alike have fun. Really worth it.

“Active kids/active fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Perfect for ages 8 and up. The kids can actively explore for hours and hours. Something new around every corner and there are lots of corners.

“Kids had fun, but a little pricey for a family.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

This is a unique place to take the kids on a rainy day. I would say for kids 6 and up. I have a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old. The 4 yr old would get lost in the tunnels easy and some of the sights scared her. The 6yr old had a blast.

“FUN”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

The place is a playground for older children. Most activities are inside and you can still visit in the winter, but they have outside attraction which is more for warmer weather. It also has an aquarium which you will need additional fee to enter.

“awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

This place was just a COOL assault on the senses. My 11 yr old son already wants to do this again next year. I will definately bring my knee pads...this place made me wish I was 40 years younger. We spent almost 6 hours crawling, climbing and......oh yeah, the 10 story slide made us so DIZZY that we had to go on it 4 times!
