If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space. « less

“Unique experience full of adventure!”

Website does not do this place justice. It was great fun for 13 and 10 year old daughters. Lots of climbing, secret tunnels and huge slides I would be more concerned trying to keep up with younger kids. You would have to follow them because it is easy to get separated. Definitely set a meeting place for kids to find you. Interactive and enjoyable. Would do again when weather is warmer to do outside and roof.

“Fun, fun, fun!”

This is an amazing place to explore with kiddos! Anyone ages four/five and up are likely to love the City Museum! Tons of places to crawl and explore. I saw several adult couples there on our visit, so no child is required. :) Watch your head, and bring knee pads if you are prone to sore knees from crawling.

“Love this museum”

This should not be called a museum - instead it should be called an imaginarium. It is so amazing to walk into and be surrounded by so many exhibits that you can interact with. If you think you know museums, think again. This place is so much more!

“Great place for an aviation enthusiast”

St. Louise, MO was the HQ of the erstwhile McDonnell Douglas company. Over 750 free exhibits to admire and read about. There is also a decommissioned F/A 18 Navy fighter outside the museum.

“Great for kids. Pricey and dirty”

Great place for kids. This trip more things seemed to be out of order. Food area we ate in by circus show was absolutely disgusting. Tables to eat on we're covered in grime. Workers read books and check texts well but not your most aggressive workers.
