I can go back to the Saint Louis Zoo again and again. The experience never gets old!
It was hard to believe, but the weather was nice enough to spend the whole day in January. We were not disappointed. The zoo was up and running. I think we saw more animals up and moving than ever!

Great animals in botanical garden. World class. And guests don't pay admission , the region's tax payers treat you to the day.

This is one of the best zoos in the US and certainly worth spending the day there. Admission is free and the grounds are well kept. The zoo is easy to navigate and you don't have to walk a great deal between exhibits.

This is one of St. Louis's pride and joys. It is a world class zoo. The animal enclosures are huge and natural looking. They are constantly adding on---just recently the new seal area opened and they love it. Before that were new penguin area, puffen coast, a petting area for rays, a huge cat country, childrens area, and much much more--starting with the huge walk through bird cage that was built for the 1904 World's Fair. The zoo continues to grow and get better and better even though you would think it couldn't get any better. As with a lot of other activities in St. Louis---it, too, is FREE!!! There is a parking lot with a fee, but if you're lucky enough to find parking on the street, that's free, too.
