“Some good, some bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

Owner is very nice, friday night wine down fridays are fun, indoor dining is attractive, menu is limited, wine is average at best (not much variation from one to another), too close to interstate, doing the best with what they got. Don't go much anymore...got tired of the ho hum wine selections.

“Great place to wine and dine for lunch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2012

If you are driving Interstate 44 between St. Louis and Rolla, Missouri, between the hours of 11 and 2 (noon to 2 on Sunday), lunch at the Bistro d'Vine at the Meramec Vineyards in St. James is a decision that you will not regret. There are daily choices. The menu and more information can be found at its website: www.meramecvineyards.com. Most recently I ate there with a friend, and we enjoyed the feta cheese and artichoke quiche that came with a seasonal fruit green salad and bread, the Chocolate Mini cake (perfect portion) dessert, and a small carafe of one of Meramecs wines. The entrees with the accompaniments range in prices from $6.95-8.95, appetizers and sides range from $3.95-$7.95, and desserts range from $1.95-$3.95. In addition to quiche, there is chicken, tilapia, soup, and also salad. The appetizers include a tasting plate with sausage, cheese, fruit, olives or tapenade, and bread and The Dipper of bread served with dipping oil with spices. Desserts also include a wonderful creme brulee, cheesecakes, and pies. The small dining area looks out to the patio and yard area which creates a spacious and airy feeling. My friend and I met there (one from Jefferson City, one from West Plains) for three hours, and the hostess was so gracious about letting us sit and visit even after we finished our delicious meal.We also enjoyed shopping in the Winery's store before heading our separate ways.
